We're off to an good start today...at least this AMBG is a little more "typical" for my non-traditional OTJ girl. As usual she'd rather have something other than what I'm actually offering. At least I can tell that her appy is good, though...it's not that she doesn't want to eat, it's just that she'd rather have a big ole bowl of kibble instead of her LC fuds. Oh, I wish, Trix...

So far, though, I think she's eating enough to strongly consider skipping a morning assist feed...yay! (I wrote this before my BTB. I just fed her her second breffis...the Little Glutton is in da house :-D ! Boy did she go to town! No assist feeding necessary this morning :-D !!)

The show absolutely exhausted me yesterday. Since I had to leave so early, I couldn't do a BTB after the kitties' routine, followed by lots of driving, followed by setting up the booth, and then followed by lots and lots of talking, which, with these mouth ulcers (which ARE getting better) made me feel pretty ill and wiped out by the end of the day. The icing on the cake was that I, of course, got lost on my way home. I don't do GPSs - I need to know here to turn well in advance of 100 yards, so I need to study and thoroughly understand directions before I get behind the wheel. But, I stupidly didn't do a "reverse directions" thing on Google Maps. So I had to call DH and have him guide me until I got on the major road that I was looking for. He knows how I am...when I know an area, I know it well, but I don't have a good natural sense of direction and I hate getting lost....I can get pretty panicky, even with technological resources at my fingertips. Bead sales were good, though!

So by the time I got home, it was even later than I had hoped, and I was mega-stressed. I did Trix's pills right away, gave her a few minutes then did her fluids. Then we had to run over to my parents' (they live around the corner) to help them with something about ordering a new fridge. It was again later than I had hoped when we got back from that and Trix still hadn't had her assist feeding. She had eaten pretty well for DH during the day and for her first dinner, but definitely needed a little more food in her belly to jump start her. I guess she was feeling my stress, and then somehow I screwed up with the syringe and she gagged a bit on her assist feeding fuds ....that never happened before and boy did it freak me out, cause me more stress and worry, and I felt bad for poor Trix. I should have known better...she's just so super-sensitive these days and she REALLY plays off my stress. I need to keep a much calmer, more level head around and for her.

Today is another show day, so hopefully I've learned a few lessons: I, in theory, SHOULD know how to get home without getting lost. And I will go about the evening routine with Trix in a calm, cool, collected, non-rushed manner, even if it is farther behind schedule than I care for. Fortunately, the show hours are shorter, and I don't have to set up this morning, so I can leave my house later.

It may take me a day or two to recover, but I do have my entire LL family in my thoughts and prayers!!!

How great you didn't have to do an assisted feeding this morning. I hope you don't have any trouble getting home today and things are calmer this evening.

Looking good Trixie! Love the green.

YAY for good sales at the show - that is great! i can so relate to the getting lost thing. I too am directionally challenged, can't find my way out of a paper bag sometimes.... I cringe when someone says just head north... ok, so which was is north?   I think I may have more trouble than you! Well today will be better, and I hoe sales go well today too.

Have a good one! Peace be with you tonight. :-D

YAY for gluttony!!!! You go, Trixie!!! :-D :-D

I'm glad the show went well, but sorry about the talking (ouch!) and getting lost. Been there, hate that! My GPS has steered me wrong more than once, so I usually do a google map, too.

I hope today goes well, you sell lots and Trixie is still eating well for you.

Hi Amy......oh how I love reading about your little piggy eating well......and unassisted, at that! :-D

I hear ya on the GPS thing. I admit, I often tell 'the lady' what I think of her directions. I'd rather go an extra couple miles on the main road, than through the nasty back roads, to save a little mileage. I too, like to know my route, well in advance.

I'm so happy the show went well, and sooooo happy your mouth is getting better; not fast enough, but it's hard to be patient, when you hurt....especially the mouth, 'cause you can't get away with not using it. I've been feeling especially bad for you lately, 'cause I was dealing with dry socket from extraction. Twelve days of non-stop agony. All better now.
I hope my prayers are helping you. (TMI, for Miss Trixie's condo?) 'grin'.

By now, you're home and Trixie has probably had dinner. Hope your day was a good one.
