Good thing Star is enjoying her window now. My 2-year old nephew is coming over, and while Star loves our kids, she hides from other kids. Besides, the birds are more active this time of day anyway.

A lovely start for Star!! There's nothing like a little early morning bird watching, that's for sure!

Good morning guys .. lovely blue for star this morning .. hope the numbers continue with the intrusion of different family members :-D Have a great day guys!

Re: 7/13 Star AMPS 112

Bird watching is a great way to start a day. Tarragon hides from little kids as well. Turnup, my civvie, comes out to greet them and then bites. Yikes!

Re: 7/13 Star AMPS 112 +4 85ish

Yeah, Star hid from all kids, babies, etc until the day we brought DD1 home from the hospital for the first time. Star immediately came up to sniff the baby and rub against her and meow at her and us. She knew from day 1 that this new little thing was part of the fam.

Even when the baby learned to crawl and used Star as a climbing toy.

The "ish" is from DH telling me it was 81. Or 91. He forgot which by the time he told me. Well, I'll take either, and update the official record later. :)

Re: 7/13 Star AMPS 112 +4 80 PMPS 107

DH had great success testing Star's ear today. Hooray. We had been ear testers in the beginning, but got so frustrated that we just tried a paw. Once we saw how easy that was it hard to go back. But he did, and lessons refined on the paw helped.

Plus, see what posting videos can inspire? :-)

Next test will be mine.

It's great that DH had a successful ear test! I've never tried a paw test, but I can't imagine Trixie would be too tolerant of that...as much she doesn't like having her ears fiddled with, her paws are off limits big time  !

Star actually handles the paws much better than the ears as far as being handled. That's part of why it was so much easier to fall back to the paws. Trimming her claws is something she'll sit patiently for, not even needing a treat to motivate her. But touching anywhere on her face? No thank you, she says! But I see the motivation for getting the ears down.

Congratulations on a successful ear test! What a great milestone. Glad the video helped.

I've been using the lancing device now and it's been much easier on both of us.

Now you have 2 ways to test his BG! Great job Beccalecca!
