So I pulled out my old digital calipers the other day just to see... Could it be right that even though my syringe says I'm giving 4.25u the calipers are saying it's 5.2mm?! Am I actually giving him over 5 units?!
Unfortunately it only does tenths.

Its not a directly correlation. It also depends on what type of syringe you are using? In the Dosing With Calipers sticky, the starting math has *thankfully* been done for us:

"All of these syringes are U100, 0.3cc (the gauge of the needle won’t matter):

Monoject 1.24mm = 1u
ReliOn 1.32 mm = 1u
BD Ultrafine II (Canada) 1.5mm = 1u
BD Ultrafine (US) 1.62mm = 1u
Carepoint 1.2mm = 1u
UltiCare VetRX 1.25mm = 1u
Sure Comfort 1.34mm = 1u"​

How is Shooter feeling? All 5 Ps?

Do you mean 5.2mm or 5.2U? If you mean that the reading on your callipers for 4.25U is 5.2 mm, that could be possible. Like Angela said, 1U works out to more than 1mm for most syringes.

I'm using Carepoint syringes. So I guess that's about right then. Outside of being a rollercoaster, Shooter seems to be just fine.
