Good Morning Everyone,

After a good, all-night rain we have a beautiful, cool Adirondack morning. I'm about to go out on the still, misty lake to enjoy the early- morning air. We all had a good night. Rusty is starting the day with a number that is "in his ballpark". Shot went in, so I hope we will be in good numbers all day. He has had 2 sittings of breakfast and is now napping in his bed.

Hi again,
It looks like Rusty got attached to those 150s yesterday, because he went up when he should have gone down and found the 150s again!! I'm almost certain I didn't give another fur shot this morning. He's just finished his "lunch" and is sitting on the picnic table watching the motel guests (they are not too noisy today: I think some of them may have gone out somewhere. This is a small, cabins-type motel where many guests usually stay a week. We cringe when it becomes apparent that a big family group is here for the week!!)

Had to go shopping today to buy wine for the happy hours at Canoe Outing next week and also to stock up on provisions for the camp (the nearest market is in Speculator, 25 miles away; and there is a good wine shop there, too, whose owner we have known since the early 1980s).

Later this afternoon we'll go out for a paddle on the lake (if it doesn't rain; it's threatening). Looking forward to a better number from Rusty Russ!

Hey Kitties, I just found out that tomorrow is the full moon, the Buck Full Moon. My beans are going home tomorrow, but I might stay here to see the moon and if Mannie wants to hold the party here at Camp, that will be fun. But if someone else wants to have the party, that's good too. Venison chili would be a great dish! And grilled venison sausage! Mmm!

Just catching up, I'm glad that Rusty cleared the furshots so well. I wish Tess would handle them that well, he really didn't even fo that high. But what's up w/ this rise again Rusty?

Have fun w/ all the activities you have planned. I've been seeing the ads for those Off clip on bug repellents. Have you tried them? Do they work?

Rusty, Buck Full Moon? Venison? Camp Stu sounds like the perfect site for the party! -- Tess

Well, I guess it was another fur shot after all! Edward told me that he thought he smelled Lev. on Rusty several hours after the shot, but that he didn't want to tell me!!!!!

Oh my friend, it is so easy to do those hated fur shots, But He was doing well, these are Moonie's daily numbers right now, guess she & Rusty have something going---Blue velvet with a tinge of yellow sunshine!
Hey you guys remember green??--If you need to use longer needles I have 1/2 a box you can have--
Hope your boy comes down tonite--I know sometimes I try so hard to get the shot in the perfect place at the perfect moment, but nothing is perfect, and you do such a great job with him!
Green within 12 hours--OK Rust Man???

I think I did it again at PMPS!!! It seemed like the shot went in, Rusty made his normal "complaint", the needle pulled out with it's little "pop", and I didn't smell Lev. But Edward checked and thought he smelled the insulin, and then I smelled a little, too. Maybe it was just from the residue left on the needle. Well, as they say, "time will tell". Rusty has been sleeping all day again. I don't think he's used to the high (for him) numbers. Also, I think he's been "mouse hunting" at night. Appetite is great.
We go home tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed that he doesn't get carsick. (Rusty will be back in time for the party tomorrow night if Mannie picks him up in the bus.)

Everyone have a good evening. It's clearing here after a lot of afternoon thunderstorms.

My Friends, the full-moon party is all set for Camp Stu tomorrow night, lasting well into Friday morning. The FULL BUCK MOON. Featured foods will be venison and raspberries. all invited.

Double fur shots? Doh! Rusty, that's no way to get a dose decrease! You gotta earn it!

When I first read that.... I thought you were going to go out and get some moonshine. Then I read the whole sentence! ohmygod_smile

Hi Ella, sorry about the fur shots. Maggie decided Rusty needed company, so her Bean did a fur shot, too (by mistake! Sounds like another wonderful day for you three.

Hi Ella... bummer on the fur shot! that really sucks... Well, at least you can sleep tonight, tomorrow is another day, and one starts over.. Have a safe trip back - I hope Rusty doesn't get car sick...

Ni ni everyone. Rusty didn't come down, but didn't go up either, so I have hopes that tonight's shot wasn't a fur shot.

Oh the "still, misty lake" sounds wonderful. So does the moonshine, Carolyn!!! :lol: :lol:
Well if it had to be a fur shot, at least he's just surfing....hope tomorrow is better. I'm sure it is really hard to give shots to a kitty with all that hair. I think Celi said she shaved a patch on Bink's back :lol:
