What a busy night last night for some of our LL kitties - you know who you are! I hope you all made sure your beans had an ample supply of coffee - for them, and gravy - for you. Nice surfin' you guys!

Mannie is off to a yellow start this morning - AMPS 268. Looks like he must have surfed that last night while I was frolicking in never never land. :-D I hope that for today we can see nothing higher, perhaps surf this a bit, and even better back to the blue surf we had the other day. Mannie your mission: no more RBC, no more stinkus pinkus, no more bouncing... or your bean may have to up your juice, yet again.... You can do it! cat_pet_icon

WCR: Mannie is grateful for cooler weather. Silly boy dragged me to bed last night - guess he wanted to sleep in the covers, and needed a humom there too. Wouldn't leave me alone until my head was on the pillow. Has made sure I got up on time this morning too. Breffis #1 and #2 consumed, waiting on #3. In the meantime there are kitty toys to annihilate, and the perimeter to secure. Normalcy in Mannie-land.

Have a great day everyone. I think I will take a beach hike this morning. Tides are still way low - a -3.1 I think, so off I go for as far as I can get until they rise again.

I hope Mannie stays flat today. Oh that beach walk sounds so nice. I used to do it here almost every morning, but now I live further away but not that far that I can't get to the ocean walk. When I return, that's my mission to get back on track with enjoying the ocean walks. Now Mannie, you stay flat today and your Bean will give you a treat. Have a nice day.

Hi guys! maybe he did listen... 253 @ +4.5, more or less flat. so far so good....

off to the beach/shore... the shoreline here is interesting, and really only accessible for along walk/hike when the tides are low. per PNW shores, it is rocky, not much sand, full of sea life. heading north is a bit more sandy, so i think i will do that today. There is a series of old ship wrecks about 4 miles from here that are fascinating - old wooden construction, about 50% of the shells remaining. a bit of history to explore - that and some crazy old geezer who owns a portion of the waterfront, and defends it to the max. one avoids that guy....

Hi Lisa - it is nice, I am lucky to be within easy access. and yes - we are on a yellow surf. no trampolines, no bungees, no scuba gear....

Michelle, your beach walk sounds so interesting. I used to love to walk on the beaches on Long Island. There's always something neat to see on a beach. Is is possible for someone to "own" an ocean beach?? That's incredible!

Weather here is deteriorating and I really want to use my normal syringes, so we're heading home tomorrow. Big canoeing week next week. More later.

Great afternoon at the shore on my hike - very low tides. it's kind of fun to be able to walk on a sea floor that doesn't see the light of day very often. Plenty of very tiny tiny fish, many clams, and snails - topper for me is always the osprey that fish the waters. a few eagles and red tailed hawks too. and then there was the old geezer who did chase me off his land. :lol: :shock: :lol: he owns the sea ya know...

161 @ +2.... well let's see: that's close to 80 points in two hours.... dropping we are.... remember Mannie we surf these things okay - a FLAT surf. I wonder if I can ask him to listen for two cycles in one day. :?

Hi Ella - I truly wonder how much of this beach this guy owns - he claims to own the tidal wetlands, which i suppose in a sense you could say that they are, by his beach shack anyways. You really can't access his place from the water unless the tides go out - way out. And when they do out come the clam diggers and this guy literally sits on the beach and chases them all away from "his property". it is funny actually. chased me today too - :lol: :lol: :lol: an yes - so many things to see - we have a pier about 1/2 mile down that is covered with starfish and anemones, sponges, all sorts of things. fascinating - and all visible only with the low tides!

well i babbled... and hear ya on the needles... don't blame you one bit, and if the weather sucks, and there's a big paddle next week....

Michelle, do you ever try upping the carbs when you feed the drops?

On the beach thing, here the beach is public to the high water mark. I would guess there is something similar to that in WA.

We love the ocean too, but no starfish here, just ospreys, gulls, terns,ducks many different birds, turtles, fishes, etc--
Atlantic is different than Pacific..
Hope Mannie swims at least if he wont surf :lol: :lol: :lol:

89 @ +4 well we are now green - what a drop for Mannie. Now I hope he will surf this, and not bounce in the morning...

Good point Ann - I really should be doing that, when drop is evident. Like tonight - on LC, but still big drops. It has been mentioned to me before. It would be another tool to ensure or more even curve. I am so used to feeding LC, or HC when he is so low... I really need to pantry check to see if I even have any MC. I suppose I could go LC with a little gravy... ( and I do believe you are right on the water ownership thing, in which case that guy is out to lunch....)

Hey Roni! Thx! Mannie may have to go borrow Stu's scuba gear, I think he fell off his board: glub glub glub - drop drop drop...
