7/13 LOOSE LIPS: Pools rule, new best friends....

Good Morning LL!! (LOTS! DGS recovery fuel :roll: ), and Happy Caturday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Lola and Bug are so worn out from TPIF day! Thank Pizza It's Friday was a huge success. They said they are sleeping n this morning and not to wakes them up. :shock: HUH??? I thinks a wake up call is in order, don't you? we is all up and functioning... Maybe I should out a couple of cups of my special brew under their noses! that'll do it.... ..... heeheeheee. so. well. anyways. Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry purree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of blueberry, raspberry, strawberry and blackberry swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with fresh blackberry drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! AND!!! It is a go! We will have, for sure, TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts!

I said this yesterday, but it bears repeating today too, as last night was another night where I just didn't get to condos. I do miss you guys! : "I would like to take a moment and thank everyone who takes the time to read this condo daily. I wish time was on my side and I could return the favor. I missed so many of you! I could use a 48 hour day. :shock: :lol: :lol: Sorry I missed nearly everyone yesterday."

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Nicholas and I sure did! We did the pool, had a few minor issues, but all in all it was alot of fun. We both agree though that we will be glad when the summer schedule is a thing of the past. ;-) SO MANY KIDS!!!!! We did go on another berry hunt after the pool time, spent a good hour there, looking for, and finding, alot of huckleberries and some of the low growing blackberries. We even manged to find two more salmonberries. well Nicholas did. I missed them. he has such a good eye for finding the well hidden ones... here is what I wrote in last nights post about the day: "HI everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. It was a swim day for Nicholas and I. We had a few issues there today, with pool temps being off, chlorine levels being off, but despite all that we did ok. There were some olde kids there today, and he really did enjoy playing with them. What with the older kids the pool was a nuthouse. omg. i know that pools monitor hot tub temps, chlorine levels.... but.... that hot tub was incredibly hot, even the little guy said it was too warm. So it really affected what he would do today. I heard alot of "big pool please toady, it's not hot". don't blame him one bit. Chlorine level seems off the charts too. it's never bothered him or me before, now it does. It really bothered both out eyes. Oh well there too. We did what we could today, 7 weeks and counting and hopefully things will be back to normal. despite the huge mass of people, he managed to have some fun. The bigger kids love the sides, so he spent alot of time just doing those, all with a big huge smile on his face. All good I think. I had to smile - we were on the trail there and he stops and says "Stop Grammie, I need to tell you something. so i did and asked him what's up, and he says "I had a major good time today in the pool!", and then gave me a hug.I did too little man, I did too." I took a few photos while he slept, with his best cuddly friends, just for fun. here you go: Swimming is HARD work...

Yesterday Nicholas asked abut Mannie several times, wanting to know where he is. I have been telling him that Mannie is in"Mannie's Garden" his favorite spot to be, where flowers grow, and the sun shines. He seems to like that answer, accepts it. He has always known that Mannie loved the yard, and for him he believes that if Mannie is there then he is happy. He really does miss him, and asks all the time about him, since his crossing to the Bridge in April. It is so nice to see now that a new friendship is developing with Lola. They are becoming good friends. Lola comes to meet him when he arrives, plays with him, shares breffis with him. This is cine to see. I can't say for sure that they will ever be as tight and close as he and Mannie were, but it's still so great to see. I took a few photos yesterday of them together: Nicholas and Lola And the rest of the troops? : NORMALCY in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! It probably will be catch up day here: errands, shopping, laundry etc... unless I decide to say the heck with that and go hiking.... time will tell! :lol: :lol:

Does he go out to Mannie's garden looking for Mannie? When I was little, my mom would take me to visit my grandfather and I'd sit on the bench in front of his grave and wait and wait and get angry when he didn't show up. I didn't understand why I had to see him at this place and then why he never showed up when I visited.

Your comment made me think of that and how I understood that he had to leave but not that he wouldn't come back to visit. Wonder if Nicholas is doing the same and looking for Mannie.



Hey Lil Bit,

My tummy was upset last night, do you have any tummy settling brews that you can bring me. And when you visit, we can hang out on my porch and you can watch the crazy Mr. Blue Jay squawk and talk and fly into the door. I think he is showing off for Mrs. Blue Jay. Silly bird. And if he comes close, you can take a swipe at him. Serve him right making such a racket!

Hi Hillary No, he hasn't yet gone to visit Mannie in his garden. The subject always seems to come up when we are not at home, which is about 90% of the time. We are out and about alot.... so I dunno how he would feel. I suspect it will be the same as it was for you. He knows Mannie is gone, but then talks about him later on as if he will come and visit, come to play etc. It will be interesting to see what happens when he asks and we are here at the house.
Maui - you is sick??? oh NO! I will bring something to help. A special brew. I likes to hang out and watch the birdies. I do with my new bro and sis. They makes these funny sounds when the birds come close. OK - on my way! Getting my swiping paw ready..... ~~Elsa

It sounds like you managed to have a good time at the pool yesterday, despite the hot water and chlorine. Hopefully that will be fixed the next time. That is sweet that Nicholas is still asking about Mannie. I'm sure he misses him a lot, but it is nice to see him and Lola develop a good friendship.

He is one SWEET person! Not only does his little body go a mile a minute, his mind does also. He was having berries and at the same time thinking about how much fun he had in the pool. ((((((Nicholas))))) I think Mannie will always have a very special place in his heart.

Hi everyone! The morning is almost over, and I, have just about competed my "to do" list - well what I am going to do on it anyways. :lol: :lol: Shopping done, and the last load of laundry is in the dryer, flower beds watered, cleaning ignored. LOL: it alwyas gets ignored.... I am off to play: a nice walk/trek through the woods to the shore. it is sunny here, 100% blue skies, and what am I doing indoors! :shock: :lol:

Morning Carla We did! The pool is always good, though summer time there does present a few problems. we dealt ok with them, had some fun. I think so too on Nicholas, and his asking about Mannie. It's been close to 3 months, and I am taken back by the fact he still thinks about him. Good I think that Lola has stepped into be a furry friend here.

Morning Ann I can laugh over your kitchen OCD - that happens to me too. I get started with something like that, start simple, and major takes over. :roll: :lol: YES on the pool - that is what I keep telling him. SOON, I hope that one the summer swim league is done that they will rethink the closure for the little kids, let them have the space that the team no longer needs. we shall see..... and I know! Summer is half over!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

Morning Mary I thought the same on Nicholas, and was so taken back that while in the midst of hunting to pick berries, he just stops and talks pool. It was nice to see, even better to hear. I believe so too on Mannie and Nicholas. After three months he still remembers. kinda cool. THX: Catch up done (well sort of), and play time commences.

your special tasty brew is really helping my tummy and I so loved to be brushed! It is my most favorite treat ever! My tummy is feeling better. I had a nibble of my fuds and haven't had an incident yet today. Yay everything is where it belongs in my tummy!

Did you hear those silly Blue Jays - squawking up a storm. They are so loud, if I only I spoke bird I would know what they are squawking about.

Hi Michelle, I wonder what time Lola and bug awoke after their TGIP. :lol: How fun and what a rot those two are, and Elsa seems to have her space. Sounds like the water temp was really off there and the chlorine level. Glad you had fun berry picking. How sweet Nicholas still asks about Mannie, soulbuddies. I think He will remember Mannie always as they shared such special times together with breffifs and nanners. How sweet with the hug and telling you how much fun he had that day. Great pics and so cute with Elsa and Nicholas and sleeping Nicholas.
Elsa Lil Bit thank you for the coffee today and for my neighbors. The are spoiled and love you and the coffee.

Happy Caturday afternoon everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. I headed on out to the usual stomping grounds for me: Meadowdale. I spent a few hours walking the trails there for a while. I also made the shore, and was able to hike down to the old pier. The tide was low enough so off I went. It was a nice time. Days here has been sunny and made about 73. SWEET! I will post the Picassa links to photos taken tomorrow for anyone who is interested.

Maui! I am so glad that we made you feel better! YAY! Phew, what a relief - no more pukus or the other stuff for you. That is good. We can bring more if you needs it. Heeheehee on those birds. They sure were noisy. I don't speak bird either. :shock: ~~ Elsa, and Ollie

Hi Ann - LOL :lol: :lol: on Lola and Bug.... definitely late, as it was so quiet her in the house this morning. :shock: I will agree, they are fun. Elsa just does her thing, and pays them no mind. She will play some with them. I even saw her chasing with Bug last night. That was fun - something she doesn't always do. And yes, we had better days at the pool, but it worked out OK. Nicholas goes with the flow fairly well. I loved his comment and the hug was way too cool. :razz: THX too on the pics. I do believe that you are right about Mannie and nicholas. They were so close.

I love to read your stories of Nicholas asking about Mannie. They had such a special bond and I know he must miss Mannie a lot. Fortunately, his attention span is still short at that age! But the longer time passes and he still asks about Mannie, the more likely he will always remember his first special soulbuddy. And there will always be the pictures that entertained us all here so much. :YMHUG: I am certain Mannie would be happy that Nicholas is making friends with Lola, Mannie says so. He would not want Nicholas to be sad for long.

Hi Anne, and thanks! I'm just so glad that he remembers him, and still thinks of him. I so agree on the attention span, and you are so right on the passage of time, and his remembering. Isn't that the truth on the photos. Oh my gosh, I have so many. For that I am grateful. I think so too on Mannie being ahppy that Lola is trying to fill his shoes. I so love that saying: Mannie says so. It gets me every time I read it, as I know too that he wouldn't have it another way, he does not want anyone to be sad for long. Thanks so much for your post tonight. It is a nice way to wind down the day.
