Yay, yay, yay, yay!!!!

That's SUCH great news! It looks like the acupuncture (combined with all the prayers and vines and snowflakes) has made a difference!

OMG - I'm soo happy for you both!

I'm not sure about the water - is there any way you can brace it or put something around it so she can't knock it over? Could you put her container in a heavier bowl to stabilize it or something?

Continued prayer and snowflakes and light for your warrior princess...

And I can only speak for myself, but I bet I'm not the only one who appreciates the play-by-play! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

can you put the container in a non-flat (soup?) plate or salad bowl, to restrict it from moving too much and hopefully from tipping over? and then put that in a tray? wonder if one of those rubber-grip thingies used for opening jars would hold it up too.

I hope this is a real sign of something miraculous!

not sure how to say this, please don't take it the wrong way. the miracle is there right under your nose, carolyn. her amazing spirit ... her will to live ... she's a miracle in her own right.

Wow! What great reports. It sounds like Latte is already feeling better. The only thing I can think of with the water is put the container in a shallow bowl to keep it from tipping. It makes me so happy to read about this progress. I hope you continue to see improvement. I am still sending tons of hugs, prayers and healing energies.

I wanted to let you know that I have seen acupuncture do amazing things on animals in a very short time. I used to shoe horses for a living and sometimes they were so uncomfortable due to injuries or arthritis that standing with a leg bent was really painful. At times the only thing that helped was acupuncture and often within minutes the horse would sigh with relief and shart chewing(sign of comfort) and relax. It was amazing to me.

I like the duct tape idea. Or a combo of MJ's duct tape and WCF's idea of a tray. Tape the container to a tray for stability and splashes will be on the tray.

So happy for the scooting. And especially for the recuperative sleeping!

Latte ate 3/4 can ff straight from the can. I tried taking pics as her entire face was shoved in there, but couldnt get good lighting.

Sleeping, eating, drinking, ...Carolyn this is all great news and compared to this morning's post it already IS beginning to sound like a miracle. And no one deserves one more than you and Latte.

I hope you guys get some sleep tonight..it sounds like you could be in for a more active day tomorrow(today) ..unjinx, unjinx :-D

OMG! I shouldn't be up this late, but here I am. I am so happy. Go Latte girl! But much needed rest too, okay, baby girl?

well, I assumed she scooted because I did not see. I took her to the LB and then laid her down in her 'spot' for some baby food since she was 136 @ +5 (could be the drop causing her desire to drink). She started her 'anxiety attack' (thats what Im going to start calling it) and got up took 2 steps, wobble, 2 steps, wobble...She fell over just as she reached the water bowl. Poor thing. She is bent on laying there.

I switched out to a shorter cottage cheese container and she stands up...so its too low. Switch to a higher one and she falls over. She is definately anxious about it all. For now I have a medium size bowl on the non stick stuff you put under rugs. It helps her with grip if she wants to stand. She also has her little 1/4 cup ceramic bowl to drink from which requires little effort.

She is due for bupe now, so hopefully that will help her relax. I hate seeing her like that.

Oh p duct tape good idea...cant find it! grrrr
 
I was so thrilled to see your updates! SO glad she ate, and that she wants to drink. This is good, Carolyn. I hope the morning brings even more improvement for your sweet girl.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and Latte. I'm happy to hear that Latte might be improving a bit. She is scooting a little and sleeping - that is good.

My cat Jake is gravely ill and can't walk either without falling down. He tries to make it to the litter box but can't. So he has been wearing a diaper. He tolerates this and it saves my carpet. I only take it off him when we are outside. I also use pee pads too.
 
My heart jumped out of my chest when i read 'she can walk' and my eyes filled with tears.
and i have no idea who you and latte are other than seeing your name here daily and following your story.
i am filled with joy.

You are doing everything you possibly can for her and giving her all the love you have. Can't ask for more than that. Have beenpraying for her daily and keeping her surrounded by GLOW.....you too. As for knowing when....you will. You just will.
 
Oh, I hope the acupuncture, rest, food and water are all helping. What an emotional time for you! I am sure you are doing what is best for Latte.
