Just a quick check in. Yoyo is looking very good! I saw he had a couple quick bounces but he’s recovered fast!

You are doing a great job with him, Debra!! I hope you’ve figured out the CC or what carbs you need and hope thrnSEB is still helping.

Thanks Debra! yes I am disappointed, especially since Mowgli's numbers were safe. I just need to get more familiar with how Mowgli reacts in greens. I did a half reduction so hopefully it will work out :)

I too am learning things about Yo and his carbs. He needs very high carbs to get his BG to come up when he goes low. So I have been experimenting with very high carb percentages. Today I used 33%, I know- that is high! But I got him to react to the food and it brought his numbers up. Now I have to find out if it has a long term effect and if that is why he went up to 104 @ +5. I'm not sure if he is bouncing or if the rise is carb related.

I have been experimenting with high carbs and it is helping after about two feedings. Like this morning he still dropped to 59@+2 even though I fed him 33% carbs @+1. But then @+3 he started to come up. But then @+5 he went up to 104. Do you think he had too many carbs and it made his +5 go high? (I only gave HC at +1 and +2). Or do you think he is starting a bounce? Also, yesterday morning he started low, I fed him HC-25%, and again his numbers went higher after starting out low at 86.

I feel if I don't give the HC food (25% or higher) that I am feeding him all day long to bring his numbers up. But then when I give the High Carbs over 25% I think it increases him for the rest of the cycle. Does the HC % effect his entire cycle like dry food can?

I'm lucky that Mowgli responds fairly favorably to food, even LC will slow him a bit. I think I can do some more work thought to understand how long it lasts. Very cool that you are doing some experimenting! it will be very good to have this information in your tool box :) I cant believe how much carbs it takes to bring Yoyo up!
