Yesterday's Condo

Sammy finished off the night last night with another fabulous cycle of ALL GREEN! And I was even able to limit the amount of times I got up during the night. I went to bed around +3 and set the alarm for +5. At that point he was still dropping so I decided to get another test at +7 and he was comfortable at 89, so I decided to sleep through the rest of the night. At one point, I did wake up and jump out of bed like I should have tested him hours ago, but everything was fine. I check the video monitors and saw that he had gotten up to eat several times during the night and was doing fine.

I hope today is much of the same as yesterday. I did notice a bit of runny poo in the litter box yesterday, so it will be my goal today to get some Forti Flora in him however I can. He use to love the stuff, but now even if I just sprinkle a little bit on the food he doesn't seems to want it. I think maybe I will start with an extremely small amount and try to work up to adding more of the next few days.

I forgot to give him the Cerenia last night. The vet said that I only had to give it if it seemed like he needed it, but many of you here recommended keeping it going for a few days even if things seem okay. I did give it to him this morning with the Famotidine.

Looking good. BTW I just read that a side effect of Famotidine is nausea. It's on thriving pets but you can double check with drugs.com.
That is so interesting, especially since it is suppose to help settle the tummy. Honestly, I think the drug manufactures put so many warnings on the medication to prevent law suits. LOL! I mean really, if you didn't take a specific medication because of a "possible" side effect, you probably would never take any medications. I guess sometimes what the drug does do is more important to health than the side effects. Take chemotherapy for instance. The side effects of chemotherapy are horrible, but think of what they are doing for the patient. Would you rather have the possibility of extending your life or the possibility of hair loss and nausea for a few months. I guess you just have to decide of the treatment outweighs the side effect. And that is sometimes hard to determine for our pets, because they can't tell use exactly how they are feeling.

Have a great day everyone!

You still can give cerenia this morning. I would. I've seen too many not and the nausea comes back but of course do what you think best.

Yep, that is exactly what I did. I gave it to him this morning. He seemed to be doing fine, but I didn't want to take any chances.

Our internet has been down for most of the day. I am just checking in really quick using the Hotspot on my phone.

Sammy's day as been mostly in the 60's and 70's today, and his appetite has been really good. I would say that he ate about a normal quantity today. Which I am very happy to see.
