Yesterday

Hi L&LL,

Rusty's ear infection looks so much better. Today was day 2 of the medication (5 days in all). He was very good when we worked on his ear (I was surprised; I guess he realizes it is really helping him).

It was a beautiful day, but I spent a lot of it on the phone. It is not easy dealing with the medical establishment! I did get out on my bike for a short ride around a local pond a few times. We can't wait 'till next week, when we will be canoeing every day at Canoe Outing. It won't be much fun for Rusty, who will spend long days alone. But we'll be back every evening and I may be able to check in on him during the day on some of the days. I hope the weather won't be too hot.

Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's bowl and watch today's recap of the Tour de France. I heard today that there is a large group of professional women cyclists riding the Tour de France course a day ahead of the men. How neat. Now, there needs to be a women's team in the Tour itself!
