Morning ~O) thanks so much for all the visits I missed last evening. I crashed early. Thanks for the healing and appy vines, Ann & Tess, Ella & Rusty, Mtncat, John, Anne & Poo Patrol :-D, Mariko and Marje. I'm so grateful for all the support.

Mags is eating on her own, but I feel I should try and get more calories in her. Just from the day enema, she lost some weight and then the day following poor appy. This Kidney Function dry food is appealing to Mags, and I heard her crunching on it overnight. Yes, that's what I'll do is raise the insulin if I see some of this food is spiking her too much! Surprisingly, it didn't spike her bg that much last night. She is still on just one drop of juice. She has food on the bed, so that she doesn't need to get up and use the stairs. She's still able to hop onto the bed from the 2nd step. She hasn't had a good strong poo since the enema, but did have some very softies, almost diarrhea. She still is so sensitive on her bottom when I try and wash her.

I need to take my car in again this morning :? and have it there by 8 am. The other day was the diagnostics, and they had to order the parts for it. I needed the car yesterday, and it's okay to drive but needs the vapor leak repaired. It needs a gas cap and the neck part. Stranger things happen to cars, but there was a much newer car in there for a similar problem. I can't smell the vapor. They'll give me a ride home, so i can spend time with Mags and catching up. As Tena mentioned to me, it's the diagnostics part that is so expensive.

I am so so so glad to hear she's eating on her own...if it's kibbles, it's kibbles - the girl has to eat, and if the juice needs adjusting to compensate, then so be it! Softies are a good start...she was beginning with a clean slate, so the fact that she's producing something at this point sounds good, although I'm sure, with her extra-sensitive tushy, it's not, um, ideal.

Keep feeling better and better, sweet Maggie!

Good luck with the car, Ann...I've said it before, I hate those necessary black holes for cash!

Have a great day!

Hi (((Ann))),

I'm so sorry to read what you've been going through with Maggie. I'm sending lots of healing vines in arrears as well as for today. You've had a really stressful period. I hope that the Phosphorus binder works quickly. I'm glad she's been eating.

Grace

Hi, Ann! YAY for eating! Good job, Mags!
Good luck with your car ~ hopefully it's the last repair for a long time...

I love your plan for the post-car-repair: Maggie Time :-D cat_pet_icon
Sending healing vines her way!

Mags isn't quite ready for that green kini; Guess it's too cool yet.

Hi Amy, it is a big relief to see her eating even if it is the kibble. Ay least it's low in phosphorus. :-D She's also eating Wellness, and I do need to try the other prescription stuff, too. I know on the black hole car thingy.

Thanks Grace so much for the healing vines. Mags does go back and forth from feeling good to looking like she's not so well, but as long as I can get food in her, that's a good thing. She's drinking a lot of water.

Hi Josie, yes, Maggie time while the car is being repaired. I sure could use it this afternoon, so I think I'll see if they can finish it this morning. I dn't how much work it involves to install the parts. It was finding the leak that cost s money.

Re: 7/12 Maggie AMPS 155; +3 104

Hi Ann. I was so glad to read that Maggie ate something on her own. We have our fingers crossed that her appetite continues to improve and she puts some weight on. Happy she can still jump on the bed from the second step of her stairs. It gives her a bit of exercise to keep those leg muscles working. Hope she makes it to the Lagoon as the day progresses.

Sending Maggie some more healing and poo vines. We have her in our Prayers. Have a great day Ann.

Re: 7/12 Maggie AMPS 155; +3 104

So glad Maggie ate something! Sending many more healing vines for her and for your car today :-D

Re: 7/12 Maggie AMPS 155; +3 104

Detective Poo here, checking on Mags. She's had a rough few days but it sounds like she is on the upswing. :-D :-D Eating on her own is very good news! Sending vines for normal poo, should be on its way. ;-)
Liz

Re: 7/12 Maggie AMPS 155; +3 104

Glad to hear Maggie is eating a bit more, but I feel ya on wanting to get more calories in our kitties. Still sending poo vines and happy bum vines for Maggie. Hope they don't take too long with your car and hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. That money really belongs to the furkid...not us! :-D TGIF!

A little bit of a high jump. It's some of the new food with the lower phosphorus but higher carbs. Mags always comes down from it.
I just called her regular Vet and asked about an appy stimulant, and he thinks it's a good idea. Mags is eating but could use a little boost.
I told him about her bum being so painful, even with me trying to wipe. Something has changed with her, as the other earlier enemas were a breeze, and mags came home actually feeling renewed. Nothing showed up in the X-ray however.

Thanks for all the visits, John, it is good she's using the stairs and has no trouble.

Sweetie's Mom, thank you for the Mags healing vines and my car vines. It's kind of an involved big job with replacing the cap and neck part, so I probably won't get it back until mid or late afternoon.

Liz, Detective Poo, thanks for the poo vines and eating is good. Vet prescribed Mirtz, and she did okay on it before.

Rhiannon, yes this enema was really hard on her. I don't think she could take another very easily.

Deborah, no kidding. That car repair money belongs to Mags. Thanks for the happy bum vines for Mags.

Thanks Pam and Hoot, she does seem a little more alert today. She's watching every move I make, making sure there is no carrier in sight.

Jane, love it. Thanks for the vines for a painfree hiney, and a formed poop

Come on down Mags. Silly girl. Those yummy fuds look like the culprit. Hard to find food that has it all when you want low hos. I'm glad they are going to give you an appy stimulant. Healing vines that she keeps getting better and better. ((((ANN))))

PMPS 179

Thanks Melissa, Mtncat, Carla and Amy for the visits and vines for Mags and tushie vines, too.

I picked up my car, a little under $400, not as bad as I thought but still a lot of money that I would have preferred to spend on Mags. We sure need those cars in CA with everything spread so far apart. I get some discount with the auto club which really helps.

I did not get back online to update, but Mags did slide down to 179 which is good as she had been eating some of the scription diet food.
I picked up the Mirtz and some more Cisapride from the Vet. Mags did fine on the Mirtz, no yowling or excess vocal, just wanting lots of affection and staying close to me. Now when my GA Siamese tried Mirtz, that was a different story with mega yowling.
Mags ate a fair amount and did not vomit, as this worried me. She's resting comfortably.
