Reallllllllly hoping for some blues today...

Is it normal when a cat hacks up a hairball for that hairball to be in the shape of a poop and be followed up by vomit?? I put petroleum jelly on my cat's paws yesterday night so I'm reallllllllllly hoping that helps with the issue of hairballs. Her vomit really stunk too!

Trix isn't a hairballer, but a couple of my other kitties are. Yes, sometimes the hairballs look like nasty poop, sometimes there is food there, sometimes liquid, sometimes just the hairball....

Let's see some blues, Miss Lucy!!

That's interesting...I have had these cats for 8 years and have never seen these hairballs...I guess the Iams hairball control food they were eating was working! Wish they had that in their wet food...I may just add some coconut oil to their food...Lucy flicked off the petroleum jelly I put on her paw last night and it splattered all over the kitchen...my other cat just laid there are licked it off like a good girl...funny how different they are!


Sad to see that today Lucy's lowest was only in the yellow and we're heading back up into the pink...
 
I gave Lucy her PM shot at 7 and she projectile vomited at 9. I mean like water hose spray. It was all liquied and pink/brownish in color and reallllllllly stinky!...there were no chunks. She has had a totally normal appetite today...she has been acting totally normal today...she just climbed up her tall cat tree like a champ and was looking around the living room upside down and everything. Right after she threw up she went and ate out the rest of the food in her dish. Her numbers are super high even though she was doing so well..We stayed in pink all day today. I don't get it!

What could vomiting in the high number range mean??
 
This is the second night in a row where she has vomited like this...she is fine allllllllll day and then all of a sudden after the PM shot she throws up. Then she goes and eats. It doesn't appear to be an upset stomach...

I have no clue...

Should I give her some Pepcid AC?
 
Should I be worried about her vomiting or our we just saying she has a random stomach ache? When my stomach hurts I don't want to eat...Lucy is eating a TON!!

Her numbers are getting lower...that's good...

I kind of take things in threes. Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern.

I don't know why she would throw up after her PMPS shot. See what she does tomorrow.
