I would like to take a moment and thank everyone who takes the time to read this condo daily. I wish time was on my side and I could return the favor. I missed so many of you! I could use a 48 hour day.   Sorry I missed nearly everyone yesterday....
I hope you guys had a great day eysteday. Nicholas and I took advantage of better weather east of here, and headed off for a river adventure, What fun it all was! I so love the time with him, he is so appreciative of all that he sees. He can spend hours just playing with a few sticks, a small water flow, and sand at rivers edge. What joys to be found in simple pleasures! This is what I wrote in last night's post: "Good evening everyone! PHEW! What alonggggggggggg, but glorious day. Nichoals and I had such a great time. SO good that we were late in getting back home. I decided to head on out on Highway 2 and visit some of Nicholas's and my favorite places. We did Gold Bar river access to the Skykomish River first if only becasue the sun was there at the time. We pretty much had the place to ourselves until a couple of rafters showed up around noon. Little guy had a great time, just being a little guy. We did LOTS of sand and rocks and water play today, and ate ton of thimbleberries. I didn't realize that spot grew those, so it was a nice find. We found alot of them. Lunch was on the river, on a boulder hand picked by Nicholas. I had to laugh - it took him forever to find the one he wanted.  Napping followed shortly after that. He asked to head up to Skykomish where he could see the trains, and while enroute Sleep took over. DUH! He was very busty at the river. While he napped I went up to Beckler River, hung out there for a few so he could get some nap time in, and I could visit a place I really like... it was a nice way to spend 30 minutes or so. Very pretty there today. We went to Skykomish on the way home. It is a very small RR town nestled in the mountains. Of course, none went by ... he was OK with it,a s some were parked on the tracks, and those were just as good. Better luck with the moving trains next time. Interesting to me that he likes that town as well as he does. It was along day, but a fun one. I almost missed the connection with his dad, running behind, and bad traffic out of Monroe. oh well, all worked out OK, little guy had an fantastic day. "major good" as he would say.
' Here are the Picassa links: Skykomish River @ the Big Eddy, Beckler River, and Waiting for the Trains.... Skykomish The Skykomish River photo album contains alot of back seat shots of Nicholas while we were on the road. It is anon-stop monolog back there complete with all sort of facial expressions. I thought it would be fun to try and capture some of what goes on back there. The last three I took without realizing what he was doing. He had found a box of Kleenexes in the back seat ad decided to pull them out one by one... LOL! It reminded me of Lola - hmmmmm...new partners in crime?
Kitties continue to be the cure adorable "you did what" kitties that they are. NORMALCY in MusketeerVille.   Nicholas loves to do the dishes when he's done with breffis, so I usually let him. I'll prop him up on the counter, turn the water on, and let him play and pretend to wash. it's great fun for him. Well.... yesterday Lola decided he needed help. She had heard the water running and came as fast as she could. For once I had my camera: Faucet Buddies Last bight I kept hearing this rustling sound, couldn't quite figure out what it was, and it stopped as soon as it started. Come to find out, Lola had somehow found my stash of plastic bags, drug them out, and had them all scattered down the hall, down the steps to the basement, and into the downstairs room. sheshhhh... what a mess, but it sure looks like she had fun.   Elsa and Bug were MIA. I suspect they didn't want to be even 1% associated with that. Smart kitties!
Have a great day everyone! Nicholas and I are off to the pool this morning: more wet fun!
We hope for good weather. After all there are still all those berries there on the pool trails that need to be picked, and eaten.
I will try and get to condos when I can.
KITTIES!: Think BLUE!!, Think GREEN!!
