Well, no blue; except for my mood. I know I've been here before, it takes a few days for his BG to come down. I'm just tired, frustrated, and worried about him. He is acting fine, definitely feeling better. Running amuck, bothering his sister, playing with toys. His coat is better and all of the bald spots have disappeared. I just worry that it's been 7 months, he is still not regulated, we are probably looking at additional conditions that need to be managed, and there is still damage being done to his organs. Not to mention the total and complete nonsense the vet clinic is engaging in. ~SIGH~ Just venting. Sorry folks. I really do appreciate all of you here, and am grateful for the blessing of you in our lives. Jack says, "Thanks other sugar parents!"

Following on yesterday's thread. To be fair to the vet's office, I would expect some mark up on tests. It takes time and supplies to take the blood, and get it ready for shipping. The price quoted you was WAY cheaper than what I paid years ago.

That's awesome news! And probably a sign that you are definitely getting closer to a dose that will move him. Always remember to look at the cat and how he's doing, he is so much more than his numbers. Speaking of numbers, I do like the trend happening on the spreadsheet too. More blues, less pinks, good progress.

Seriously? I'm so sorry. I understand charging me for the visit, the medical supplies, the shipping. I do. And trust me, all of that will be itemized out on the bill. I'll even give them a $20 markup on each test. Their costs are already being covered by the client, there is a significant markup on the price of the tests, and charging me twice for shipping when it's going together in one shipment, PLUS if I want to use my credit card (which most folks do, or even a debit card) there will be an additional 3% fee of the total bill (new this year) I'm getting fed up with being taken advantage of. It's not like they are passing the $$ on to their staff (these girls make minimum wage in PA...a little over $7.00 hr and have no health benefits) and it's not going to new equipment, or office improvements, or continuing education for their staff, or anything of value to their clients; so I got mad. I'm just thinking of the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars they've overcharged me over the past 20 years on bloodtests, not to mention their other clients. Enough though, I guess it's just the nature of the very ugly beast. Happens all the time, in every vet clinic and human health care offices too. But when vets get mad and carry on when people decide to dump their pets or put them to sleep because they can't afford the care they should look in mirror for the major culprit.

EH, I'm sorry. You have been an constant support and important part of Jack's journey, and I am very grateful. Thank you very much.
