OK Mannie..... enough with the bouncing already... we all know you can do it.... so let's get back to business, OK? Nothing munch to say about yesterday - yellows and pinks, and the bean is not liking these numbers much, especially when today seems to be starting out like yesterday. I sure would like my blue and green kitty back... well, all in good time. As for today?: Mannie has given me a permission slip to go , and so I shall. :cool: :-D :-D


All is well in MannieLand today. The kitty choir, aka my morning back-up alarm system, was fully operational this morning - complete with ear bellows :shock: and paws with claws on the face :o , and wet a cold nose on my shoulder :roll: . Awesome job there BJ! :cool: :lol: :razz: The back-up singers Mannie and Elsa were patiently waiting in the wings in case she failed in her mission. We had a great test feed and shoot this morning - one happy kitty. Clean plate club status has been maintained, with an attempted raid on the civvie's bowls. uhhhhh noooooooo Mannie: not for you, too many carbs. poor guy - thwarted again... current Mannie status: asleep on the nanner pile - where else? :cool: :cool: :razz:

Enjoy your day everyone! I will visit condos when I get home today. I miss you guys - it's been so busy here, and with family visits I haven't been able to spend much time on the board. Do know I am thinking of you all. :-D

Hey everybody!! What a great swim meet!! I had such fun..... and everybody had a great time. Lots of racing - and wow!!!! on the cookout. maybe we can visit again today, take out the kitty canoes and do what Rusty's beans do... that would be cool. See you guys later??? Good morning! Yay on the hike! That was so nice of Mannie to let you go. The nanners need some attention anyway, so that will keep him pretty busy. Have a wonderful time!

I am with you on the higher BGs. Tarragon hasn't even shown me a blue in a long time. I am blaming it on the heat since I have switched out insulin. He seems to be feeling ok, so I am at a loss like you are.

Hope you are enjoying your hike as I type. :) So sorry that Mannie has contracted what is hopefully a minor case of the stinkus pinkus. Melissa is right... I'm sure Mannie will spend the afternoon tending to the nanner pile. Just such a kick!!

Was able to peek at your condo for a bit last night from the road.... loved the cat petting lessons!!! Nicholas looks to be a quick study!

Hi Michelle, I think Mannie is up there just so you can go hiking, and he will come down when you want some sleep. Hope you are enjoying the outdoors and get more pics. Really nice report on their morning routine.

Thanks everyone for the visit while I was gone... The hike was wonderful. I went to Eastern Washington again, just over the pass, for some alpine hiking. The trail followed one of the creeks, more like a river, for the duration of the hike. YA!, and nice!! I ran into my token snake (I always find at least one when over there), my rattlesnake quota for the day.. :shock: I saw the ranger while on the hike - he was coming down from topside as I was headed up, and wanted to let me know he had just seen a rather large, like 300lbs, Black bear... HUH? :o :shock: :shock: well, never did see the bear.... probably a good thing.... --- so food for a starving bean, trail dust removal, and the condos!!!

Hi Melissa - i agree - thank you Mannie! I got my permission slip!! and yes - so so true on the nanners. that is where I left him when I headed on out... i agree on the BG stuff - He will do this sometimes - give me 3-4 days of awful stuff, for him, and then get back to the numbers he should be posting. so... we wait a little, and if not, then up goes the juice.

Hi Sienne - thanks , I did: it was a great hike, and it was good to get away for a while. and so true on Mannie.... I think he did - though I have no clue... at least the +11 was in line with what I expected...

Hi Iorwen - I do so hope he does.... these yellow and pinks are killing me... and yes - I thought he was being a good guy too, and letting me go. YAY!!

Hi Lisa - thanks! I did!! A wonderful 12 miles. SWEET!!! Looks like Mannie was a good boy while I was gone.

Hi Devon - I tried to tell him that - he didn't need to be pink.... but it was a for sure green light to head on out. Now I hope he gets back to business!

Michelle, I was also freed from family guests today--Great when they come, great when they go--
I am planning a trip to the beach this week, just to clear my head out--
Was there Saturday night for fireworks with the clan--It was beautiful, moon on the water-AAhhhhhh!!

Hi Michelle, it sounds like it was a wonderful hike, and yikes on the 300 lb. bear and glad you didn't see him! Yay on more pics, too! it looks like Mannie surfed the yellow for the hike and hope he comes down. A few of our kitties are having high numbers lately. I wonder if they're getting into some kitty crack while we're gone! Have a good night.

Do you hike alone? I'm thinking that you probably do, but isn't that kind of taking chances? Just concerned about you....bears and all that! I bicycle long distances alone because I feel that I'm capable and careful. Most likely, the same as yourself. I take precautions (also probably like you), just want you to be careful, that's all. One of Gus' civvies fell in love with one of the nanners! I put eyelashes on it so I would know which one belongs to Jake :lol: He was sleeping with his head on it when I left the livingroom tonight. He and his brother, Max, were ferals and this is the very first item that he has shown any attachment to. So sweet. Nanners are a hit in Gus' house. Thanks to the Nanner King. :lol: :lol:

Hi Ann - so agreed on the bear... been there once a while ago, but well... no desire today to see a bear that big. :roll: :shock: I hope so too on Mannie. He seems a bit out of sorts tonight - not too sure what is up with that.... :? and yes - finally got the photos off the camera... now to get them in places so people can see them I had a great time - tons of fun out there - very nice creek. :-D

Hi Bev - yep, I hike alone.... and yes - I am careful, follow the rules, and try not to be too stoopid :lol: :cool: I've been hiking solo for quite a while - kinda of evolved what with Mannie's needs... I just couldn't get things coordinated with others to fit his schedule... so off on my own. thanks!! - I will be careful, most assuredly! That is so cool with the nanners, and Jake. Mannie would be so proud! he too sleeps with his head on top of one... LOVE IT!
