Good Morning LL!!
(LOTS! It's river day... we need FUEL!),and Happy Fursday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT!! Lola and Bug, founders of Paw Prints Pizza , are in teh midst of another experiment! Yesterday Lola was raiding the chips bin here... and it wasn't for snackin'! Bug wants to try and potato chip crust, and chip sprinkles and stuff. I thinks that is weird, but they, they have tied weirder things. My bean took a pic of Lola yesterday, caught her in the act of chip confiscation. so.... hmmmmmm.... anyone wanna try this pizza? I dunno.... so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings! SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of peppermint chips, and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with peppermint candy chips. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! AND!!! It is a go! We will have, for sure, TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts!
I hope everyone had a great day eysteday. Nicholas nad I sure did! We went tot he pool, swam our hearts out. We hiked the trail, picked as many berries as we could eat, headed home when someone's little legs were tired. We took a longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg nap after all that. Nicholas was elated when he woke up and found that his grandpa had brought him a cheeseburger, fries and a fudge sundae. and YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM! HE ate all the fries (duh), most of the cheeseburger, and maybe half the sundae. What a lucky boy he was. As Nicholas said yesterday: "this is my lucky day!" yes little man, that it was. All grammie can say is SCORE! This is what I wrote about our day in last night's post: "Hi everyone! back from the pool. PHEW! The energizer FISH was just that: energized!
 We stayed about 2 hours today, which is becoming the new norm. This was the first time since summer schedule started, and our access to the bigger pools has fallen by the wayside that Nicholas vocally expressed his displeasure. ;-) He wasn't mad, just disappointed, and kept asking to go swim in the big one. He could see kids in there, but didn't quite understand what lesson classes met, and why he couldn't do what they were doing too. Per the FISH: "What a bummer!" yes, it truly is. . So.... we made do once again, and still had a good time. Lunch was devoured as it alwyas is after a swims session. Once inhaled we were off on another trail hike by the pool, looking for more berries. The salmonberries are pretty much gone now, but we can still find alot of huckleberries. Blackberries are just starting to form fruit, so soon on those. All in all, a fun day at the pool. He's now down and out for the count, in a deep sleep/nap. I so love it when he tells me all the way home that he should stay awake, he's not tired and NO NAP!   this is more like it: I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) Sleep well little man" Here's the Picassa link: On the trail....., and Swimming!
Lola and Bug and Elsa are fine and dandy! Oddly enough I really don't have much to report.... Lola really did raid the chips bin, not so much for the chips as it was her wanting to walk the edge of the basket and the handle. I have this huge four foot wide basket that sits on the corner table that holds all the chips. She decided it was perfect for edge and rim walking. (photo is in the link)  I had an vetty appt for her last night to get the last of her shots on board. It was funny when I brought the carrier upstairs to get her "loaded up". Bug saw that and did this "NO WAY" dance: eyes were big, tail bushy, ears back. I told him ti was not for him. What was funny was that he looked at me, and all was cool and groovy once again, he sauntered off to the sofa. Lola did well at the vet, got her shot and home we came. Elsa was no where to be found. I am sure she heard that carrier and it was spiltsville for her. so.............. I think yesterday qualifies: normalcy in MusketeerVille.
Have a great day everyone! It is Nicholas day again, and we are off to a river. At least I think we are: I need to make sure on today's weather. They say one thing, and we seem to get another.... So: weather verification before we head on out. I will try and get to condos when I can.
