Happy Lupita Friday!!!! Sending healing vines out Lucy, Tiger, Sasha, Minka, Tricia, Zener, Trixie, Trey, and Sabrina, and any others that my feeble mind has failed to recall. Wishing Zack good luck with the last of his OTJ trial and also good luck to Molly and Skooter with conversion to all wet food!!!

Gracie's goal today was to avoid Lupita interactions by staying on the catio. Yes, Lupita goes out onto the catio, but Gracie squishes herself in on the flagstone at the bottom of her condo on her back and pretends to be on a virtual vacation

Unfortunately, mamabean put an end to all of that when I made her come inside the house. I was carrying her and Lupita decided it was a good time to get her hands on the LBG. Oh I wish I had gotten my phone ready to take a photo because the look on her little face was priceless. It was a mixture of stink eye meets harrummph! meets I am the most adorable of adorables all on one little tiny brown face. Before I could grab my phone, Lupita had put her down on the counter. She stared Lupita right smack in the face and that tiny little nose crinkled and she gave her best effort at HISSSS!! but it came out hisss...but I mean it! and then she sashayed across the counter as if to say talking to the tail, Lupe!. And then she took a very meticulous bath SHE got me filthy!!!.

Her right ear is much, much better today. The left ear on the outside still has a lot of hivey looking bumps on it. The lidocaine spray is also a dermatologic anti-inflammatory so I have been putting a bit of that on the bumps as well. I don't want to use the lidocaine long-term for pokeys and so I think I will research polysporin and then take some in for the recheck and let Dr. B test it on her and see how we do. I'm not positive I need anything because Gracie could care less about the pokes. I know using lidocaine long-term can have side effects but when I spoke to the Virbac vet this morning, he said that usually applies to long-term use of relatively larger amounts over a widespread area and not just a tiny dab on her ears several times a day. Still, I like to be cautious. I'm not sure if her BG is up because she's bouncing or it has something to do with her ears. Probably bouncing.

I'm working today but will try to pop on and off to check in. Hope you are all having a great day.

I'm running to the store and playing 1-7-9 on the pick three...

Re: 7/11 Gracie AMPS 179 +5 179

So glad it's Friday, if for no other reason than to hear the Lupita Friday stories LOL! Hope that your foot is feeling better too! Glad to hear Gracie's ear, well one ear, is better. Good call on the fish in the ingredients from yesterday's condo, you really have to read the fine print on those food labels! ohmygod_smile I went to look for Polysporin today, and at least at Target, they didn't have any with pain relief. Like you said though, I don't think Tiger reacts to the pain from the poke, she just doesn't like me pulling on her ear.

 I can just picture Gracie and Lupita. I hope she gets tired of the blue floor and takes a dip in the lagoon soon.

Soul Sista's are back on late cycle green.

Great news that Gracie's ear is looking better. When I look up the Neosporin web site, they list Polysporin as their product for those who are allergic to Neomycin. The Polysporin here has lidocaine in it for pain relief. :?

Alas, Carl. You would have lost

It was 4-4-0. Glad that wasn't what your meter showed you.

Good grief!!! If it's not one thing it's another. Why can't they make an FD friendly pain relief ointment? Grrrrr. But I'm glad Soul Sistas are back in sync.

I can't believe you even wrote those numbers in Gracie's condo

Re: 7/11 Gracie PMPS 98

i had to catch up on yesterday's condo to see what was up with Gracie - *whew* glad it wasn't the shrimpies! poor little girl - hives are the worst. i'm glad you've figured out what was causing them and have a substitute.

poor Lupita. Seems that she tries desperately, every friday without fail, to win Gracie over, but Gracie won't have any of it!

how's your foot doing today?

Re: 7/11 Gracie PMPS 98

Yeah...she never quits trying. And we are soooooo relieved it wasn't the shrimpies.

Foot is superb, thanks, Julie. Once it started to get better, it got better fast. Thankfully, I am NOT allergic to neosporin with pain relief

Nice cycle today for Gracie. Nice and low but not scary low like yesterday. I'm glad her precious ears are getting better. Poor LBG.

I love Lupita Friday! I can just picture Gracie giving her that look, then pointedly cleaning herself. Good thing Lupita doesn't take all this personally!

Glad to hear your foot is better. I hope Gracie surfs safely for you tonight.

I didn't see your posts Thursday or Friday as I wasn't reading much so I had to go back and catch up :YMHUG: . Poor Gracie. I hope her ears recover quickly and the spray doesn't freak her out and works well for you. :YMHUG:
