Not much new to report today, other than definitely better numbers than yesterday! Trix's appy is still nice and hearty....maybe not quite a gluttonous as it was for a couple days there, but definitely very good. It looked like we were going to have one of "those" mornings with the gelcap, but fortunately it finally went down on the 7th try. Yep, I count...it's become a habit!

I'm off today, but just got an e-mail from my one partner that she needs me to come in at 4:10 and stay till closing. Our other partner is up in the Poconos so she can't do it. I can't tell you how bummed and upset I am...I so desperately needed my FULL day off today, especially since my staycation was so non-refreshing because I was plagued with mouth ulcers (which are getting better but still going) the whole time. And, I have a bead show this weekend - it's my turn to man the store's booth, so that means VERY long days and lots of driving for me, plus Trix's med schedule is going to be thrown off (DH has done many insulin injections but he has never pilled or assist fed Trix), so I'm already massively stressed about that (It won't be thrown off too far, but once you're trained in the regimented schedule of TR, it's hard to stray for ANY meds!). Not a happy camper today....now I have to rush through all the stuff I was going to try and get done :sad: ....

With that, I guess I need to get this day going sooner rather than later :roll: ....have a great day, LL!

Nice start for Trixie. At least you finally got the gelcap down. Silly girl. Bummer on having to go in. Sounds like it will be a crazy few days for you. Hang in there. Have a great day Amy!!

I'm sorry to hear that your day won't be a long day off. I know you definitely deserve it as you work your butt of, sometimes too much. However, you gotta do whatcha gotta do, right? I'm hoping that Miss Trixie's schedule won't be thrown off too much, and you guys can get back on track sooner rather than later.

I'm glad to hear that you're healing. YES!!!! I'm sending you tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and am wishing for you to make a full and speedy recovery. :YMHUG:

The new Trixie has returned after one not to be remembered pre-test number. I bet that happens to all kitties that aren't diabetic at times and to people as well. Have a great day!

Looking good today, Trixie! That AMBG is much better. I know how you feel about those nasty pills. Minka doesn't like them either. Your mamabean is just trying to keep you feeling well, you know. Cut her a little slack, okay?

Bummer on having to go in to the store. Guess that's another drawback of being an owner. I'm sure it won't mess things up too much for Trixie, but I know how frustrating it can be to have your schedule disrupted. There are always ripples, too. One thing being off schedule leads to another.

I'm glad your mouth is getting better, but I'll send more healing vines to keep it improving. Take care, Amy.

Well that sucks that you have to go in today and get your much needed and deserved day off! :evil: I completely get the TR regimen affecting how we approach giving other meds now. I hate to be off schedule AT ALL now! :lol:

Big congrats to you all for the official OTJ! That makes my heart so happy for you. I was watching for the day since her numbers cleaned themselves up so nicely after her P'titis, but ended up missing the event :sad: Our internet is back and fingers crossed it is stronger than ever.

I hope Trixie continues to eat good for you and stops fighting her meds so much. Hopefully your time at work will go by quickly.
 
OMG, she is trying to kill me with her "PS" numbers...I'll never feel like I can stop testing her!

So, you can call me crazy, but...yesterday morning when her "PS" was high, I had tested her shortly after she pooped. Same thing tonight. Could there possibly be a connection? Yes, I am just a typical LL MamaBean who NEEDS and explanation/answer where it's probable that none exists, but I just thought I'd toss this half-baked theory out there!

She's happy and fairly gluttonous tonight...still can't convince her to eat without me holding the plate, but at least she has a good appy, even though it's a bit unconventional...

Going to work was a bummer, but I survived...
 
Amy, I am so sorry you had to go back to work on your day off! But this is great news that Trixie is eating, even if you have to hold the plate, who cares-she's eating!! :lol: I have many a time had to bring Tiger's food to "her room", so nothing surprises me! :roll: Sorry you had to fight to get that pill down too! Have a great night
 
Yay for happy appy! Even if it does involve a little bowl holding, :roll: :lol: Interesting theory about poop and higher BG. Could be! Too bad about having to work today. :sad:

I don't know about the high BGs and the poop. I certainly think anything can affect their BG.

I'm glad she's eating better but so sorry about your schedule.

Paws crossed for better PSs tomorrow.
