Boing! He went down to 89 last night at before bed test and that is the price we pay I guess :YMSIGH:
Have a great morning! ~O) Hubby will try to get a +6 today. Still have NOT increased back up to 2.75 units because he gets such nice numbers on this dose of 2.5. If he would stop bouncing! confused_cat

Re: 7/10 Simon AMPS 389

Have you tried feeding a bit of medium carb about +3 to mellow out the drop? Maybe 1-2 teaspoons?

It may slow and shallow the drop, possibly making him less bouncy.

He was flatter for awhile. You'll get back there. Any hours he spends in blues and greens help his pancreas heal. Every cat eventually stops bouncing. I think the record is a Lantus cat who bounced for 2 years!

No one is home to offer him med carb food at hour 3 (except at night) so may try that. TWO YEARS??? :YMSIGH: nailbite_smile ohmygod_smile

Maybe put out a frozen bit that will thaw for eating later?

Or a Pet Safe 5 compartment feeder (available at our shopping partner Amazon, link at top of page  )

Seems that either morning or evening pre shot is always quite a bit lower than the other end as you can see here. Almost a 100 point difference. Hmmm, wonder why that is. Anyone know the answer or have a theory?

No brilliant ideas here, unless he goes lower at night than in the day and you get a little more bounce? If he eats less at night or excercises more, it might mean a lower nadir overnight. You could consider a 13/11 schedule, if proves to be a consistent pattern. So the evening shot an hour (or 30 minutes later) and the am 30 minutes earlier, to take advantage of the difference.
