Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMBG=283 (skip-not eating)
PMPS=268 (0.5u); +2=290; +5=302

Today
AMPS=220 (0.5u); +2=274; +8.25=200
PMPS=202 (0.5u);

Cypro is working well, and Lucy ate better this morning.
So far, she has eaten 1/2 Wellness Turkey and 1/8 Rayne Turkey.
She ate the 1st breakfast pretty well, but wasn't as willing for the 2nd.
But she's eating much much better than yesterday morning.
I know this is the cypro talking because I've been giving her 1/4 tablet every 12 hours, which is what the vet usually prescribes but is more than what I usually give.
I usually give the same dose of 1/4 tablet but only once a day. She got the 4th dose this morning.

Cypro or not, I am very relieved she's eating.

But!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe it?
Now Ginger isn't eating!!!!! :-x
She ignored her usual raw diet, and I have offered 5 different wet food so far with no success.
Between 2 cats acting like this, I have 20 opened and rejected cans in the fridge.
Ginger's appy has been a little off since yesterday.
It's been very hot this week, so that might be the cause.
She's affectionate and pooping and drinking, but maybe she's dehydrated.
I tried to check her hydration by skin elasticity but I couldn't really tell.
If she still doesn't eat when I come back from work, I may have to take her to the vet.

Oh my stress level.......
I hope everyone's having a nice day.

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220

HI guys .. I'm glad to hear lucy is eating better for you this morning .. I sure hope it's just the heat that is affecting gingers appy! Sending out tons of good appy thoughts her way! Have a great day!

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220

Okay, Ginger, knock it off. You need to eat. Max did that to me yesterday morning and I really thought he was having a panc attack as he even turned down baby food. He started eating again last night and this morning all was normal I hope that happens for you too. Sometimes what never bothered us before and is normal we worry about once we have kitties with issues.

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274

I'm glad Lucy is eating better this morning. Ginger, you really don't want to go to the vetty tonight, do you?? Eat up for your MamaBean!!

I agree with Elise...now with all that we've been through with Trix, I am absurdly hyper-sensitive about anything that seems off with my other kitties. I think this "trait" is one that ties all of us LL folks together - we are so in tune with our kitties that sometimes we're TOO in tune with our kitties!

Sending prayers that both girls eat heartily for you this evening.

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274

I'm so glad Lucy is eating better, even if it is medically induced. What matters is getting the cals into her. Hopefully, if she sees that eating doesn't make her feel worse, she'll be more willing to eat on her own.

Poor Ginger. Maybe she's feeling like Lucy is getting all the attention and she wants some more for herself! Or maybe it's the heat - I know that's an issue with my kitties lately. Or maybe she's just being a cat!

Sending lots of good appy vines for both kitties, and hugs to you, Mariko. I know it seems like it's always something! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274

Good girl Lucy! You keep that appy up sweetie :-D
Hopefully Ginger will be acting more normal when you get home Mariko. I like what Elise and Amy mentioned. I too am super hyper sensitive now to every little nuance in our furbaby world.
Hoping your girls BOTH have appy's when you get home, so your stress level can come down a notch!

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274

I'm glad Lucy ate for you this morning, but I'm sorry Ginger isn't eating. I hope they both have good appys this evening. Sending prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274

I am so sorry Mariko that you have been going through this. It is so stressful. Maybe it is the heat with Ginger. Sending prayers for both kitties. I am glad that the cypro is helping Lucy.

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274;+8.25=200

Ginger ate some food I left out (where Lucy cannot get to) while I was at work, but not much.
She is acting normal other than poor appetite.
I think she's slightly dehydrated.
I'm going to give her some sub-q fluids now, just 100ml.
They usually give her sub-q fluids at the vet whenever Ginger isn't feeling well, so it should be fine.

It's going to be the 1st sub-q fluids at home for Gingin.
This is going to be interesting....

Good news that Lucy is eating - she must be feeling better. :-D

As for Gingy - really girl, your momma has enough on her mind. Good luck with the home fluids with her.

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274;+8.25=200

Hi Mariko,

Sending lots of "all purpose" vines to your household. I hope by tomorrow both Lucy and Ginger will be back to normal and that your stress level will go down!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

How did it go with the fluids? I hope well. Did it help the appetite?

Re: 7/10 Lucy AMPS=220;+2=274;+8.25=200

So glad to hear that Lucy is eating and feeling a little better, and hopefully the fluids went well for poor Ginger! Sending continued vines for both of them and you! :YMHUG:

Thank you very much for your well wishes.

Lucy got today's dose of Cerenia and Cypro about 2 hours before PMPS/dinner, and she was willing to eat by the dinner time.
She ate the 1st dinner well, but eating seems to make her feel a little uncomfortable.
I'm not too hopeful that she'll eat anymore.
The amount of her 1st serving is about 1/2 of one full meal, so I'd like her to eat 1/4 portion more, so she'll have eaten 3/4 portion.
She's on Bupe every 8 hours.

Ginger ate about 70% of her 1st dinner, which isn't too bad.
She normally gets 2 more mini-meals after dinner, and she usually lets me know it's time for the mini-meal, but she's not begging today.
So I don't think she'll eat anymore.
At least, she ate better than this morning, but I don't know if the fluids helped or not.
Talking of fluids, at first it didn't go well.
She freaked out and kept trying to get away, so I put her in the carrier with opening on top and side, and it went really well.
She still didn't like it and ran away really fast as soon as it was finished.
Depending on how she does tomorrow, I'm still considering a vet visit for her.

I really wish it was cooler.
I'm sure the heat has a lot to do with their poor appetite.

I'm glad Lucy is eating and also that Ginger ate some. I wouldn't be surprised if the best is making them. It eat to eat. Smart idea to give Ginger some squids.

I hope you rest and tomorrow is a good eating day for everyone!
