Good news...I survived yesterday
Bad news ...I have an upper thigh that is twice the size it should be. A splitting headache and a black and blue arm from the ER not getting an IV started right.
See I'm deathly allergic to bees which I didn't know until yesterday. Wasps I knew about but bees? So since the move and having a gorgeous walking path right across the street I've been taking our drooler for a mile walk 4 times a day. Since he's now a transplanted country dog. We are finishing up our morning walk and I feel something vibrate on my leg. Didn't think much of it because my phone is in my pocket and vibrates right before it announces there is a new message. Hmmm no alert tone, check phone, no alert and the vibration is still there and moving. Ut-oh...yep there was a large bee crawling up my leg under my jeans. Dog, the bee and I make it home fine. The problems start as we're going in the door. King rushes the door to get to breakfast, and squishes bee into mom's leg causing it to sting me.
Okay no biggie, swear a blue streak as I'm removing the stinger, dab on the neosporin, and feed dog. 15 minutes later swallowing hurts and thigh is swelling. Call Dr who tells me ER now!! By the time it takes to get there I'm having trouble breathing. So they shoot me full of drugs and inform me that I'm highly allergic to bees..oh goodie another allergy to add to the ever growing list.
The side effects of the meds gave me a splitting headache and made me extremely sick to my stomach today but at least I'm still breathing and have a shiney new toy for the next time I play with bumble bees, and $276 dollars poorer
