His PMPS last night was 118 and if I hadn't been so sick, I probably would have fed him his 8% night snack instead of the 2% TIki so I expected a bounce today. Doesn't look like this is a bounce.

Since I was home yesterday, I let the kittens out and they found the doggy door. When the air conditioner came on with a loud rattle, one of the kittens went up the house and hung there until I could get a ladder and remove her. They stayed upstairs the rest of the day - voluntarily. Alska was happy to sleep in the chair in their room as long as they left him alone. This morning he was sitting at the baby gate wanting me to let him in to his chair  Two more days, Alska, just two more days and we will miss their pitter patter across the floors - well, I will at least.

If that's a bounce I'll take it!!! Robin if you really miss the pitter patter of widdle feeties I can ship you a bunch. We're up to our eyeballs in kittens at the shelter as well as a very pregnant momma under my deck I'm trying to trap before she pops. Lol

RobinCot - is that Alska in your avatar? He's beautiful!

I know from another thread that you follow Dr. Pierson's raw recipe. How much do you feed Alska? Did it take long to transition him over?

Hope you get to feeling better!

Mel - I wish I could handle having seven kitties on a permanent basis but I am reminded on how difficult it is for me alone in my small house - especially gearing up for knee replacement surgery. I love having my little fosters back for these short visits though. They are so sweet. My cats love them.

Geneva - I dole out a half pint of raw between five cats twice a day. I wish they would eat more but they tire of it so I have to subsidize with Tiki and Wellness. Alska eats the very least of it. I had no trouble transitioning Alska when he arrived as a foster. He took to it right away. I have one older girl civvie who took four months to transition. When she realized that she wasn't going to get her bad food back, she tasted the raw again and discovered that it tasted better than anything else she was being offered. Now she gets the biggest helping. While my cats were offered dry food in-between meals (before I cold-turkeyed them off it) their main meals were FF canned foods so I think I had an easier time transitioning them because they were already dependent on wet food. Dry food only cats are harder to transition.
