Dose increase to 4.25! Wow. Seems huge. Using steroids though so we have to do it. He is looking for the kitten so already it has motivated him!:)

Mama had her babies in the bushes and abandoned them. They all disappeared except one who has been literally screaming at night but we couldn't find it...until yesterday!! We lured it with food-it was starving-and after several attempts and some blood I was able to barely hold on (by the ear-tip I realized after) and drop it into a pillow case that DH was holding open!
We think it is about 6-7 weeks old-can't remember exactly cause we're getting old lol. So call it 7. Light gray with faint stipes and a light nose. Eyes appear to be still blue. Can't get too close yet.
Eating like a horse! Very talkative. Calling him/her Ray. (sunshine/light) In love again!
But if it doesn't get along with Tiger we will find it another good home!

I so wish we could celebrate 4th of July by waving flags and not fireworks!
 
Congrats. I'm trying to catch one here. Someone dumped it on side of road. 1st 2 days it ran in woods. Then I saw it run across deck, heard it crying under car. Set up carrier with food and water, cover set up to keep it dry from all this rain. I see him/her everyday eating from bowl. I call it Archie since that's the road I first saw it in the weeds by electric fence. No one has trap I can borrow. One thing is he doesn't cry all day like it did. I guess he knows there is food, away from road and he is safer.
 
Made a "Bandit bracelet, Campa with her tongue and toy, Ray eating and venturing out into the hallway. He and Tiger were face to face and no problems! Yay!

Luckily most adult cats will allow a kitten to come in when they'd really go bonkers over an adult. I guess they realize that their hierarchy isn't being challenged.

Oh, and by the way....Ray is ADORABLE!!

I was just curious. Both are given sub-Q like insulin. I think you can give it any time and anywhere. It's only for sub-Q fluids that location makes a difference (as in it should be given away from where you gave insulin).

The kitten is adorable!
You need meth B12 if it’s for neuropathy. If you want injectable I think people you can get it from some online pharmacies. Most just give oral which can be crushed into powder and put in the food. Cyano can be injected same as meth. @Bandit's Mom Meth is better.
 
Thank you both! I expected methyl. That is what I told the vet I was giving in powder form but wanted to inject!!! I will call and see if I can get methyl!

If you are giving it for neuropathy, then like Elise said, you want methyl B12. But you are already giving it orally, right? Why the shots?

I have been putting a pinch in each bowl of food and I thought it would be nice to inject twice a week-easier-better?
Maybe not!

You should be able to tame him/her down no problem. I do it all the time. I’m sure that you have the kitten in a small space where he can’t get away from you. A bathroom works great for this. You can also do a large dog crate up on a table. Then just go into the room and sit quietly if the kitten won’t let you handle him. He will soon figure out that you are the food source. A lot of times I am able to handle ferals the first day by placing them on my lap wrapped in a towel. They really like to have a place to hide at first - even a small box on its side that you can partially drape a small towel over the opening. Poor baby doesn’t have any siblings for comfort. Way to go, Kathy! You are my hero of the day! And I was just stopping by to ask about Tiger’s ears! How does he seem today?

Do you have a Tractor Supply Co. around? They sell the traps very reasonably - not expensive.

Hi Suzanne! Yes we have a cat trap. Ray is already using a litter box and I got to pet her when she was really sleepy! We live in a small mobile home so we have just let her decide where to be. So far we have a hiding place in each room!
I said that morning that I felt there was a kitten out there that needed us as much as we needed him! Of course I had heard him screaming and couldn't find him/her until Campa (our indoor/outdoor civvie) showed DH where to look!
I wish love and kittens for you Suzanne!:kiss:

He is getting better. His sugar is better today too. He played after he watched Ray play also. And they were both on the bed a little bit ago!!
