Morning LL,

WCR The vet called with Sara's C&S results. She said that the bacteria was ecoli and that the clavomox should take care of it. [I think I have that right] So Sara is on another week of the ab.

She's still urinating on the bathroom towel. I took it away yesterday in case she was just getting to be a habit. She used the floor without the towel last night. :? I have also found a small amount in different places. One had a spot of watery blood near it [like I had seen in the begining of this] and the other was just a small amount of urine on the threshold of the bathroom.

I don't know if I'm convinced the calamox is taking care of this. She's been on it a week already. But I hear some cats have taken along time to get over a UTI. I just don't see any improvement. Although I don't have any complaints about her #'s. She's doing great in that department. I screwed up my ss, so till I get it fixed I can't put any new #'s in. Hopefully I'll get it fixed up soon. I feel lost without it.

Any thoughts? I'm going to call my vet this morning. Maybe she just needs to be on it longer.

WBR I've been busy the past few days without my DH around. He's away in africa for a few more weeks, and its been tough working and taking care of the animals and the house/yard etc, so I have'nt been posting for a few days. I'm off for the next 5 days though, and I'm going to love it. :-D

Have a nice day.

Enjoy your days off Sara :-D
The UTI sure hasn't been affecting her BG.
I hope today is the day the symptoms dissappear and the bathroom rug stays dry.

Sara both my cats are on Cefpodoxime, clavamox makes them vomit. This is a 3 week abs. It doesnt look like Saras uti is over yet. Spike had the blood in the pee too but it cleared up almost immediatly on this abs. Doe she have a lot of urine when she goes or just dribbles. Spikes was ecoli too.

Re: 7/1 Sara AM+2~93

Thanks Dyana for your well wishes. I hope so too.

Janice, Most of the time its not much, but once in a while its more. That has always been the way Sara shows me she does'nt feel good. [peeing in the bathroom] When she was DX with diabetes, when she came out of remission, and now this. Sorry that your two had this at the same time. Hope they are doing better.

Enjoy the weather. :-D

Kasha just got off Baytril for a UTI/kidney infection. Hers was e coli too. She didn't have Sara's numbers (Kasha's numbers were off the charts when the infection started), but I didn't see any improvement for a good 2 weeks. Right around the 2 week point, her numbers improved and her urine tested clear for e coli.

We continued for another 4 weeks because of the kidney involvement. I think even without the kidney infection, I would want her on ABs longer than 2 weeks, just given our past experience.

Morning Jan...I hope this next week with the continued ABs will make a big difference for Sara....hope you start to see improvements in her behavior. Beautiful AMPS this morning though, in spite of the infection...
5 days off ???!! YAY!! That is SO great to hear! :RAHCAT
