Happy Canada Day to all you Canadians!
Good Afternoon, Everyone
Rusty is having a bit of a bounce after his long day in the lagoon. His appetite is off and his breathing has not been great. I think the wet, cold weather is really affecting him (us, too). It is depressing to have day after day of heavy rains with only a few breaks in the clouds. The Champlain Valley (east of us) is under a flash-flood warning. Tomorrow is expected to be better, and we are promised brilliant sunshine on Friday (not holding my breath!). In any event, the kitties will have fun at their full-moon party tonight despite the weather (it may be better the further east they go).
Not much to report on today. Off to the post office. I spent the morning making a huge pot of chili to freeze and take to a family reunion next week. My sister, her kids and their spouses, and some of her grandkids are gathering in a rental cottage on Indian Lake for the 4th-of-July week. It is only 2 miles from our camp and we'll be eating dinner every night with the crew. One of my other nephews (my brother's son) and his wife will also be joining the group for a day or so. Should be so much fun. We'll be at Camp Stu all of next week. Rusty will like that (I hope!).
bbl There's a lull in the rain,
