Happy Canada Day!!
Here, in Northern NY State very close to the Canadian border it has been raining all day. I hope that everyone in Canada got better weather! We have had so much rain that we have begun to get water in the basement.
Rusty had an OK day of eating. I tried him on several foods, but he is not enthusiastic about any of them. This afternoon I found a few 5.5oz cans of the "old" Wellness in a local petfood shop. They are the USA version of the "old" Wellness (the Canadian version is in the 3 oz. cans and Rusty always preferred it). So I opened a can of the turkey and served it tonight. He began to eat it, but got distracted. We'll see later if he eats it when I hold the bowl.
The Tour de France began today in Düsseldorf Germany. It was pouring rain there and there were many horrible crashes on the rain-soaked time-trial course. I hope the weather is better for Day 2, tomorrow.
Wishing everyone a grand holiday weekend. Our houseguest arrives tomorrow afternoon on the bus from NYC. We will be visiting a wildlife rehab refuge on Monday and we will paddle to a friend's camp for a picnic on the 4th. "Michigans" will be on the menu (a North Country speciality: grilled bright red hotdogs with spaghetti sauce--not chili sauce. I don't know why they are called Michigans. They apparently originated in Plattsburgh NY).
