Vet visit today. Blood work (chem, cbc, pancreatitis test--she got her regular first breakfast, no second breakfast--, urinalysis) results should be back Thursday. Mouth exam, interesting. Polly had all but her lower canines removed in 2008 (resorptive lesions). Those canines fell out on their own less than a year later. Infected root sockets of those canines diagnosed, successfully treated in late February this year. Mouth last examined in early May.
Today. Eight little white spots (each about the size of an insulin drop!) perfectly lined up and spaced, four on each lower gum top. Not the sides, on the top. No swelling; no redness. Just these canker-sore looking little evenly lined up white spots. Vet speculates stomatitis. Odd. Not like any stomatitis I've seen and I work at an animal sanctuary with near 700 cats; I've seen my share of stomatitis. Just odd.
That's my Polly.
Awaiting the blood work.
