Well, Oberon's weight is back down a little, and unfortunately today's ultrasound shows some progression of the mass in his intestines. The assumption is that either the chemo hasn't been working or it was but the cells are now resistant. So we swapped out today's planned chemo for the next recommended treatment (L-asparaginase and Lomustine). Monthly oral treatment and weekly bloodwork (initially). The good news is that we get to skip the chemo med that made him really nauseous last time. The other bit of good news is that an x-ray showed that the lung nodule has shrunk. No real clue why, but it probably means it's unrelated and we can ignore it. He's still acting fine (zoomies and chasing the other cats, etc.), so that's good, too. Still spoiling him rotten.

Meanwhile, blood glucose is fine; the usual ups and downs but dose is down to 2.25 U again. We're still proceeding with caution in case he's having trouble with carb absorption.

Lomustine is also a rescue drug for small cell lymphoma in the GI, I hope it works. Has he not had elspar (l-asparaginase) yet?

I do like the Oberon report though - sounds like he's feeling fine.
