Morning ~O) and yikes a double surprise this morning with Maggie's AMPS and then heart flutters when I saw the 62! :o Mags gave me no warning she was dropping. I was having coffee and watching a movie in LifeTime and then saw the clock and woke her from a nap. I've been so used to Maggie not moving until the +3, so she fooled me as I should never predict what she might do, lesson learned. So Maggie just earned a reducie to two drops. No need to panic, as the Relion Confirm read at 49! The lower the number on the AT, the lower the variance between the two meters. I should add that I'm using the old strips with the old meter. When I was using the new AT strips with Code 7, Mags seemed to have some wonky and higher numbers.
Maggie's happy now as she gets some FF Turkey & Gravy Feast. :-D I'll check in 30 minutes, but normally just a tsp. FF T&G will bring her up!

Just a tsp. or so brought Mags back up to 86! She's so carb sensitive that it makes it easy for me. I just gave her a little Wellness Turkey, her usual fuds, and I wished I had my camera ready to take a pic of the wide eyed not so happy look she gave me, as where is my FF T&G? :lol:

You're lucky she's carb sensitive Ann as that makes these surprise situations easier to deal with. I hope she surfs nicely for you :mrgreen:

Thanks Tamara, it was a shocker as I was not expecting a drop. Maggie says thanks on the green dress.

Michelle, thanks on her reducie. I think two drops will be easier to microdose, I hope! :shock: Yes, a walk later, and I have plans to meet a friend for breakfast pending no more surprises from Maggie.

Hi Ella, it was quite a wake-up call :shock: as Mags rarely throws any surprises. I should have known by the low AMPS she would be dropping, but usually it's a very slow drop.

Oh my goodness!! Miss Maggie sure is very impressive looking today. You must have been shocked to see that 62. It is great that she is carb sensitive, although I'm sure Mags would much rather have the FF T&G rather than the Wellness. Very nice surf going on!

I guess permission granted for me to leave and have breakfast with a good friend. Mags is happy she had about three tsp. of FF T & G! Such an easy kitty! :-D

Wow Maggie!!!! Way to get mamabean's attention!!!

Good luck on the reduction.....while it is a normal practice to shoot through the bounce once if kitty races up at the end of the cycle in response to low numbers, Maggie is not a big, dramatic bouncer. It is possible, when you shoot through the bounce on the cycle following the low number that they'll come right back down again. IMHO, if Maggie were my kitty (because she's not a big bouncer), I'd probably opt to take the reduction tonight so I wasn't possibly up all night with low numbers again.

But it's your call if she does bounce up. You monitor her :-D

Thanks Marje very much. I guess not a bouncer at all with the +10, so a reducie tonight. I hear so many shoot thru the bounce, so I guess it doesn't apply to those kitties who don't bounce unless they can monitor thru the night. Mags has an 8:30 am Vetty check-up, so it would be better to have her high so as not to worry tomorrow morning. Thanks again.

I cheated a little as Mags was starving. She had been a little picky earlier, and since I knew I was giving her the reduction anyway, I thought it was okay. Big pushover, I know! :-D
