I had a crazy idea - cat diapers. Has anyone tried these? I wonder how much pee they can absorb before a change is needed. And the thought of poop just sitting in a diaper for hours makes me 🤢🤮 One reason why I will never have children. My entire hallway is now covered with pee pads, all overlapping to catch spillover if he pees too close to the edge😵‍💫

It was 😫 getting him to eat this morning. He kept spitting out the odansetron in the meatball so I just stuck it in the bowl. I think he eventually ate it. I had to use a lot of FortiFlora to get him to eat. He got bupe this morning since he was hanging his head and grimacing. He seemed to perk up a bit about 15 minutes later.

oof when they spit out the pill i literally wanna crash out.. glad he eventually got it. ✨

He got everything at dinnertime: odansetron, Cerenia, fluids, bupe, cypro :blackeye: He wouldn't eat dinner so I put that away for later. The bupe seems to have perked him up a bit. He's not hanging his head with a grimace.

Has anyone tried the Cerenia / odansetron suspension that Wedgewood has? Oo... Chewy has an injectable odansetron. I'll ask the vet about it. A good option to have if Leroy won't eat anything.

Only two wet pee pads today. The tray wasn't used even though I put some more Cat Attract litter in it. He looked in the litter box while I had him in the bathroom so I put him in and he peed. Then he pooped and tried to lie down on top of it 😬

He hate half his dinner. I hope he finishes the rest by bedtime. Cypro seems to have kicked in along with the bupe and injectable Cerenia.

I had a prescription for transdermal maropitant (aka Cerenia generic) compounded that got rubbed in the ears like Mirataz does. One less pill.

Yes on the kitty diapers. Two examples. First was an incontinent kitty at the shelter - came in as a kitten, found on a trail with crushed tail and damage to back end. Problem was that he was a very small Burmese, and most of the pet diapers were too big. Some preemie human ones worked but needed a tail hole cut. But it's hard on a shelter environment cause no one there for a long stretch overnight. Second example was a kitty I saw at a vet clinic - he was the official greeter. Again problems with the back end but worse, he had no use of his back legs. He used a wheelchair on the back end and had diapers on. You can get small dog diapers that might fit.

I have injectable Cerenia which goes in the fluid line. I was looking at options for odansetron and came across the suspension. Liquids are hard to give. Bupe is hard enough 😬

A diaper would have to be on for a good 10 hours 🤢🤮 So maybe not a good idea.
