Happy Holiday weekend everyone!! Canada is 150 today (and they don't look a day over 50...LOL)....Happy Canada Day!!

Miss China is still patrolling the lagoon, being the good little Deputy LagoonMistress that she is!!

They released DM from the nursing home today and we're going to go ahead and try hospice care, but I'm going to be watching them like a hawk! Hospice can have someone there 4 times/week....Home health can only come twice, so at least she'll have eyes on her more often. We'll just have to see how it goes.

Went to the ElderCare lawyer last Tuesday who said I COULD set up a Special Needs Trust with the money my friend John left me! Have a friend who said she's willing to be the trustee so now we're just waiting for the paperwork to get done and then I'll collect the inheritance. There are a bunch of rules on what the money can be used on, but it's nice to have an "emergency fund" in case I need it. At least I won't lose my Medicaid this way.

Yes, we moved her back into her apartment today....she's very happy to be home with her kitty....although Miss Kitty is pouting!! She'll get over it, but she sure pouts!
