2 of the best that the world has to offer have come from the fdmb to Jack's rescue. From my understanding one is a regular poster another doesn't post much.
In any event one is helping getting Jack started on insulin and the other is willing to adopt. I don't have (didn't ask) permission to post their names and I feel it is not my place in case they don't want me to.
I am so very thankful for their help and even more thankful that people with hearts of gold like these 2 have exist in the world today
A flight attendant needs to find a home for Jack as she is away for 3 days i n a row at a time. She hasn't started treatment yer but is about to start now as some insulin is better then none.
She also didn't ask about finding a home for Jack but I asked her if she would be willing to and she said yes.
Another option of course is if someone lives close by in Dover and can help her out while she away. . If interested or can help please email me direct at justken@rocketmail.com as I doi not come here too often to check messages Hope everyone and their furries are doing well
Here is the jist of what she wrote me
One of my cats, I have two, was diagnosed with diabetes, he is only 6 yrs old. I got Jack from a shelter 3 yrs ago. He had been living on the streets for quite awhile they told me. He is very sweet.....my problem is; I am a flight attendant and am gone for two days or 3days and have anywhere from 3 to 5 days off in between. Jack should be on insulin now, but I am at a loss in what to do. I checked the pet sitting services and they charge $16 per visit, since I am gone approx 12 days a month, that would cost $192 and since it would be twice daily that would have to be doubled $384, which I can't afford. There is no one else that could take on this task for me. My veterinarian, in knowing my situation said; I could give him insulin on the days that I'm home and go with out it on the other days. I have been told by other vets that this is not recommended.
Any suggestions, I would really hate to have him put down. Appreciate any info.. I live in Dover, NH.
