I was perusing the BD website re their syringes. They highly recommend the 6mm syringes over the 8mm syringes. They say:
"Reduced risk of hypoglycemia
Longer needle lengths may lead to frequent IM vs subcutaneous tissue injections, which may cause unexplained hypoglycemia.1,3"
Of course that's for people. I believe there was a discussion here a while back about longer vs shorter needles. I might try the shorter needles for Yum---less tissue damage. I always hold the needle in for several seconds after pushing the plunger.
I believe the UltraFine II needle is the same as the UltraFine needle.
