+6 test at 24!!

Heff tested at 80 this morning so I gave 1/2 of his normal dose which is 2 units-I gave 1 unit in the hopes of preventing a bounce. I forgot to leave his snack out, so my sister just ran home to give him a snack and tested him and he's at 24! She said he was perfectly fine, followed her in the kitchen for a snack. She couldn't find the gravy lovers, so he got Sheba minced cuts (he ate 2 bowls quite happily) and 1 tablespoon of EVO dry (which I know takes longer to spike the BG but I'm throwing everything at him). I'm going home in 10 minutes for my 1/2 hour lunch to monitor and make sure it's raising.

Holy crap.

Thankfully your sister was able to go over and give him a snack. Fingers crossed he'll be raising for you when you get home.

They never pull this kind of stuff when its convenient for us.

He got sick last night on some raw rabbit and threw up for about an hour. I left some wet food out over night for him & he ate his normal breakfast. I swear he's keeping me on my toes, I have no idea why his numbers are all over the place.

I really think we need to switch to Lev sooner than I thought maybe.

When will you get another chance to test? What a scary number to get, especially with what the numbers usually look like for him. Great that you caught it though!

I went home for an hour for lunch and fed him several more meals which he was quite pleased to eat!

He tested at 162 and 210 by the time I left. I left 2 more bowls of food out and my sister will be home in 2 hours.

Unreal how he was perfectly normal & happy, even followed her in to the kitchen for more food!
