? 6-cat multi-cat household, Surefeed pet feeder defeated easily

Any suggestions for an alternative? The Petsafe 5 is not really what we need as we have 6 kitties. I don't see how that would work.

We bought one of these:

And one of our younger cats, an oriental shorthair named Oreo....defeated it rather easily this morning; we just got it yesterday! He just removed the lid somehow, I heard him scratching at it and next thing I know he's broken in.

Basically we were looking for a way for the sugar kitty to be able to get a snack while we sleep. The RFID tag works well but of course that's useless if any of the other cats can break in. Shutting him away in a separate room isn't really an option either.

Make sure the switch for the lid was locked. I forgot to do that once and Cracker was able to break in to one. I put tape across the switch in case he was smart enough to figure out how to unlock it.

oohhh interesting that would be nice if that's all it was. I think my wife paid almost 200 bucks for this thing

I know. I need to purchase additional units to keep Cracker on his diet since he has started getting into the other cats food. The price has significantly jumped in the past year.

I also wish they made one bigger for the dog's food to keep Charlie out of it. That pig will eat anything. It does not help keep his glucose under control.
