Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is still surfing along in green. He had a good night, good test, good breakfast, good shot. (I hope it was an accurate shot: I am now out of the good syringes and will have to do some experimenting today with the new lot of Monojects, which have needles that don't go all the way down to the zero line. So I'm not sure if Rusty got an accurate 1.5f dose this morning. I may experiment with the calipers). Rusty is napping in his basket. All his toys were strewn over the floor this morning, so I guess he had a good play at some point last night.

Today will be a day of chores. We had lots of rain and thunder/lightening last night. We must mow the grass today. It looks like the tall-grass prairie out there! Also have to clean the house and start getting ready to go to NYC on Wednesday.

Wishing you all a good day,
Sending good-travel vines to Roni and hoping that she will find her DA's condition improving. Sending healing vines to all kitties and beans in need.

Ella & Rusty

Morning Ella, bummer on the syringes. I was trying to follow up with the syringes, but may have missed it. Did they ever send a replacement box? I hope the calipers will work out okay. Have a good day, sounds like catch up work. It will be for me, too.

Re: 6/9 Rusty AMPS 74

Seems like green is everywhere on LL this Saturday! Rusty doing great!
Sorry about those syringes! We dont have any half marking syringes in HK. Luckily I dont have to do any micro dosing yet!

Beautiful start to the day Rusty  So many kitties are eating their greenios this weekend!!!
Good luck with your syringe experimnets today Ella. I hope the grass isn't too wet to cut.
Is Rusty travelling with you to NYC again? If so, I'm going to go out an buy Ella a fishing pole so she can catch some eels with Rusty pants next week :-D

Looking good Rusty! Hope you help your beans with all their chores today. ;-)

I swear these syringes are gonna make us crazy!!! We got the calipers from Harbor Freight Marje suggested. Liz is working on a measurement scheme and we'll start trying that when she gets home mid-week. I feel like I have to have 2 or 3 extra boxes of syrings so we don't run out. Sometimes we go through a dozen at a time to find a good one.

Very nice numbers for Rusty.

Bummer on the syringes. I still have a few old ones where the needle comes down like it's supposed to but I keep them for reference. What I did was draw up Gracie's dose in one of those and in one of the "new" ones where the needle does not come down. Then I expressed the plunger gently just until it stopped on it's own. Then I pushed it in harder like I normally do when I give the shot so I could see the difference in the drops. It looks to me like the "new" ones give about one of my drop sizes more in insulin then the old ones. But I've been using the new ones for quite some time now so I just try to make sure it looks the same in the hub before I use a syringe.

I wonder if you could just press the plunger until it just stops with these new syringes? Would that give him the same amount of insulin since the way the needle came down into the syringe before, you couldn't give what was in the hub?

Good luck....I hope you figure it out. If they ever go back to the "good" syringes, I'll probably have to take Gracie's dose up.

Morning all - Rusty you are looking mighty good in your green summer attire. Keep those fantastic BG's coming. Maybe you can help your beans with some of the chores - like lawn mowing... exercise is good! Make sure your place is nice adn tidy, sves your bean some work.

Good luck with the syringes Ella. I really need to take a good look at mine, just never seems to sit down and do it. Bad me! As I have the same monojet lot that you do. Perhaps this is the reaason for the ups and downs in Mannie's cycles....

Enjoy your day - have some fun amongst the chores.

Hi again,

Marje, thanks for giving details about your routine with the "new" MJ syringes. I didn't get to the syringes today, but plan to tomorrow. Your explanation will really help.

Today was one of those days when you are very busy but don't have much to show for it. We did get the lawn mowed, but everything else was just old chores (laundry, shopping). The highlight of the day was the farmers' market (got some nice field greens).

Rusty surfed the middle greens all day. He went outdoors several times, but just mosered around. He looked all over for the chipmunk to no avail. We all watched the Belmont Stakes. It was a good race and it was good for "I'll Have Another" that he didn't race and injure himself. I grew up about a mile from Belmont and the stables area was on the other side of a fence on my walk to elementary school. I could look through the fence and often see the horses. Oh how I wanted to be an "exercise girl", but in those days they only allowed boys to do that.

Wishing everyone a good evening,
Thank you all for visiting us.

Ella & Rusty
