Good morning, LL!
Ripley is doing GREAT today!
It's a MUCH cooler day, so Ripples already got some backyard basking time :cool: .
It's only supposed to get into the low 90s, but there's a cool breeze right now. Savoring the cool temps.

Yesterday was a family day, so there wasn't much testing during the daytime ~ then last night my DH and I escaped the hot house by going to see Star Trek. What a fun day and night!

Last week I started my experiment of keeping Ripley inside during warmer temps, due to the pattern of her feeling rather lethargic/poor appy after her basking times. It seems as though there is a correlation, as her evenings have been better. Poor girl LOVES the sun, but gets overheated too easily during these warmer days.

I have a little more family time today (my sis and nieces are flying out in a few hrs ~ a quick visit, never long enough!) so I hope to be back later to visit condos. I hope everyone's enjoying the weekend!

Hi Josie. Nice numbers for Ripley this morning but I'm sure she'll be a the Lagoon soon since she usually is there each morning.

Yahoo - another has joined the fun at the lagoon. No better place to spend an afternoon. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: I am not too surprised to read that there is a correlation between them basking in all that heat and numbers, being lethargic etc. I now when we ever got the high temps, Mannie was a non-moving entity: he too loved to lay in the direct sun. Shesshhhh - it had to be hot.
Have a great day today - i'm glad that the temps are a bit cooler. Enjoy the family time!
Nice too on Star Trek - I hear it is a good one.

Nice slide to green for Ripley today. :mrgreen: It's interesting to know the hot days do affect Ripley.

I knew there was a reason we live on the coast! Only 90º? :shock: I hope keeping her out of the sun helps, I have to put sunscreen on Emma when she goes out!

Hi, Michelle :-D Thanks for stopping by! You must be exhausted after these last few busy days you've had. I feel bad for denying Ripley her basking time ~ these kitties love their warmth!

Hi, Carla :-D Yep, the heat does affect her ~ all she needs is a wide-brimmed hat and a mint julep (she already has her rocking chair :lol: ).

Hi, Ann :-D Haha! Yes, "only" 90! I'm a summer girl, so I don't mind. I'd rather be too hot than too cold, anyway. :cool:

Hi Josie, glad your enjoying some sister and family time. That does make sense with the heat and our kitties feeling lethargic. I notice it, too, with Mags and the heat. Well, Ripley, that is a beautiful slide today. Did you happen to see Mags there today, in and out is how she does it. :lol: Have a great day.

Ripley has had a mostly-green day! :mrgreen:
I'm thinking of shaving her dose in a couple of days, if her numbers continue to be within normal range. She had a "high" of 130 on 6/4 (seems funny calling that a high), but has been looking pretty fabulous since then.

I'm so proud of my girl. cat_pet_icon

Thanks for the visits, Ann and Amy :-D :-D (Ripley said she enjoyed Maggie's appearance in the lagoon today ~ but she wanted her to stay and play longer...)
