Yesterday
Morning! Raja has 3 Ps so far and a lovely green AMPS to start her day. Finally! I was beginning to get nervous with all those blues yesterday. nailbite_smile I skipped the +4 snack last night as I said in Shad's condo cuz they both had higher numbers for PMPS and I thought they could do with a shaking up. Raja was all anxious as I got up at +8 5am...could see her in the shadows, rushing around, pacing until I got the light on.
So, I definitely got her attention!
I think the lowest carbs are best for her 4 hours before preshot time. I went across the street to Winn Dixie yesterday evening instead of trekking to Walmart...just to get her some FF Chopped Grill Feast for the +8 snack. It didn't help her PMPS though. She was still in the blue.

OT: Speaking of Walmart....I found out that sometimes when I place an order for the Reli-On Micro test strips for $36 the 100 count, I can order two boxes and get free shipping to my house.
My local store sometimes does not have the 100 count box. I end up buying the 50 count box for $20.
Isn't it better to buy a 100 count box for $36 than two 50 count boxes for $40? :roll:

I decided to check on the online ordering since my local store doesn't seem to keep the larger box stocked very well anymore. That's when I got 3 separate orders for the two 100 count boxes for $36 each with free delivery over the past few months! I think your order needs to total over $45 to qualify for free shipping. As I said, the other day it didn't let me order with free shipping, but the following day, I was able to get the order in and they deliver it in only a few days too! I love the service!

It is so disappointing when I go there and they do not have the right test strips.....very annoying. I can get anything else from another place, but those test strips have to come from Walmart. With two kitties, I seem to go through those things like candy...sigh....

It used to be a pain getting the 100 count box of strips for the Relion. They were'nt out with the others on the shelf. You had to ask for to have them brought from the behind the counter.
Now they are out on the shelf, but in a big 'secure' , locked plastic box, that has to be unlocked at the register. It's crazy. Do people steal Relion strips more than the other more expensive brands? They aren't locked up.

Interesting about the Relion strips and their varying costs. I guess you have double the reason to pay close attention to finding strips. I remember thinking that I was going through a lot of strips and I only had one diabetic kitty.

After skipping the +4 snack I guess Raja wasn't lounging in her laundry basket ignoring her breakfast today was she? :lol:
 
:lol: That's right CD! Raja doesn't like me messing with the snacks. She was right there at 5 am and then again at breffis time. She took NO chances at ALL with showing up late. :lol: We have our little games that we play and this is a new on for me.....but when their numbers are high, no food seems to help all around.

After all, if they were in the wild, they would not be eating every 4 hours on the nose, would they?
It does 'em good to feel a little more hungry than usual. It shakes up the status quo. AND it helps them to realize how very much they love me....LOL...and need me....LMHO!
 
Nice blue for Raja today, and so glad she got her snack of FF Chopped Grill. It used to be one of Maggie's favs, too! Good deal on the strips when ordering online. Have a nice day Pat.
 
Raja is looking great and on such a tiny dose. I hope you can solve the problem of the feeding schedule for her PS to come down where you want.

How crazy is all that with WalMart? You should be able to get in the store what you can get online in terms of the "deal". What a pain. Especially because I bet you do go through alot of strips although
Raja is so nice and flat and....trustworthy :lol: :lol:
