6/9 Lauren's Charlie Bear Has Crossed the Bridge--Update

Dear LL Family: I just spoke with Lauren (Tommy and Squirrel) and as many of you know, her beloved Charlie Bear has not been well lately but the last couple of days, he has seemed better. Lauren said when she got home from Wal-Mart today, he greeted her at the door, wagged his tail, and went outside to go potty. She went to
work-out and when she came back, he was obviously impaired.....laying down, not focusing on her, loss of bladder control, vomited. She took him to the vet and she is there now waiting for DH (Mark) to arrive so Charlie Bear can cross the Rainbow Bridge. She asks for her LL family to pray for him and light candles to guide his way as he joins their GAs Sadie and Cole (Charlie's brother).

Charlie and Cole came into Lauren and Mark's lives almost 14 years ago as puppies in a tractor tire. Cole crossed the RB at five years old from epilepsy. Charlie's favorite game was Red Monster.....Lauren would shine the red laser light over the yard and Charlie would bark and try to get it. She knows that once he crosses the Bridge, he will be free to play Red Monster again. She has been an awesome mamabean to her Charlie Bear and his crossing is a great loss to her and Mark. Please honor Charlie as he crosses tonight...say a prayer, light a candle, wish him a safe journey to join GAs Cole and Sadie and hold Lauren and Mark close in your hearts.

oh lauren, i'm so very sorry. i know how much you love him and how much you have been worried about him. oh we love our pets and it hurts so much to lose them.

I am so sorry. I knew you were worried about Charlie and have had a great deal on your plate. Please know you have made the right decision -- one that is miserably hard but one that is make with love and caring for Charlie.

Lauren, We are so sorry to hear this news (thank you for posting, Marje). Charlie Bear will be guided by many candles tonight as he travels to the Bridge to be reunited with his brother Cole and sister Sadie. Fly free, Charlie, and enjoy playing Red Monster with your friends and family at the Bridge. You are much loved.

I just spoke with Lauren. Charlie Bear peacefully crossed the Bridge as she held him in her arms. She wanted you all to know he is now at peace and out of pain, running happily with his brother and sister. She thanks you all for your prayers and sends her love. She was worried about not being on condos but I told her come back when she feels like it....we all understand and we're all here for her.

(((Squirrel))) and DH, I'm so very sorry and saddened to hear about Charlie Bear. You've had so much to deal with lately and we had all hoped he would turn around. You gave him so much love and care. I'm not yet photo literate, so I will light a beautiful candle at home for Charlie Bear. Lots of hugs and prayers.

Dear Lauren & Mark - We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We know how very much Charlie meant to you and you were such great beans to him. He is at peace and running and playing with his brother & sister. This doesn't make it any easier on you, but he misses you terribly and you will be together with him again.

Charlie Bear fly free and run to your hearts content. Rest in peace dear one and know that your absence will be felt here for a long time to come.

Lauren I am so very very sorry for your loss of Charlie Bear. My thoughts are prayers are with you and your family. You have been a wonderful bean to him, I hope there is some comfort there for you. You have just given him the greatest gift possible. I know he is running free with all his friends at the bridge. Fly free Charlie.

Oh, Lauren...I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Charlie Bear was obviously much loved by you and your family. I know the pain of losing him is so great, but you gave him an incredible life and he is now once again running around and playing, free from pain. I hope it gives you some comfort to know that he was greeted by his GA family when he crossed the bridge. Fly free, Charlie Bear. Oh (((((Squirrel)))), I'm crying with you. I can image how much pain you're in. Just know that Charlie had the best mom ever and he felt every day how much you loved him. You took such good care of him and I know he appreciated what you did for him in the end. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear that Charlie Bear crossed the bridge. I'm keeping you in my thoughts, sending my most sincere condolences. We never have enough time with our furbabies....

Please don't worry about visiting condos, we will be here when you are ready....take the time you need.

OH Lauren, Mark, & family, I am so so sorry!! I feel your pain as I have just lost a beloved furbaby & know how
sad this day is...My heart is Breaking for you and I will certainly Light a candle for Charlie Bear's soft journey.
He will be with his brother Cole and with all our GA babies...

I just spoke with Lauren. She wanted you all to know how very much she and Mark appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday she was rightly upset that it looked like it could be 6 weeks before she would get Charlie back as the funeral home had been by her vet's office earlier in the day and wasn't scheduled to be back for quite some time. Today she told me they did come back and get Charlie and he will be home soon. I know this gives them great comfort.

She wanted everyone to know that Tommy is doing fine. His shot was two hours late last night but it didn't affect his numbers. He's been in the 200-300 range today and he's happy and feeling good. She said she'll be back when she can but she wants everyone to know she hasn't forgotten anyone and is so thankful for your friendship and prayers.
 
We all understand .. sometimes you just need time away to grieve privately .. we will all be here when she is ready to post again ...

So sorry for your loss, Lauren.... I know how hard that decision is to make (all too well). Find peace in the fact that you were able to give Charlie the one thing he couldn't do for himself. Will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
 
I haven't been on here in a few days and missed this! D: I am so sorry about Charlie. These posts always make me tear up. :cry:

Oh Lauren, i am so sorry for the loss of your Charlie. You were such a great momma to him and i'm sure he's in a better place now.
