6/9 Jack: 196@AMPS, keeping 6.5u, not feeling well today

Jack is staying pretty elevated since that nice green we had a few days ago. I'm holding the 6.5 unit dose through today because I'm thinking he's not feeling well. He was VERY picky about breakfast, a little more picky than usual about last night's dinner, and his brothers Socks and Otis are having explosive diarrhea. From what I can tell, Jack is still having normal poops. I took the YA/Elsey kibble mix away from everyone, I gave Jack about 20 pieces of Elsey's this morning, and gave the rest of the herd just Elsey's as well. For once Jack cooperated with eating by himself, but, it was kibble so I guess he figured he wasn't taking any chances with refusing kibble. I have dosed Socks (who has chronic IBD) and Otis (who had a big gastrointestinal scare a few years ago) with metronidazole, and gave Jack a dose of cerenia. Socks is acting normal, Otis is not- very lethargic- and Jack is acting OK as well, just being picky about food. I have metronidazole, cerenia, and prednisolone on hand for Jack, and some of his brothers, as well as sub-q fluids just in case I need them. Looks like it's going to be a loonng weekend of cat care here. :arghh: If Jack's BG doesn't come down, and he's feeling and acting 'normal', I'm planning on increasing to 6.75 units tomorrow. At least most of the smoke has gone and I was able to open the windows today.
