I actually didn't realize until reading Elise's post that the OTJ trial starting this morning was contingent on a green PS. I looked at Hendrick and said "well, how about it, you gonna give me a green this morning or what buddy?? Pressure's on!"

He was a super squirmy boy too! Tricksy wriggly pokey time ensued....but he came through so the OTJ trial is ON!

I kid you not, when I read that meter this morning and saw that 89....

I hugged him, said I knew you could do it buddy and next thing I knew burst into tears sobbing. Took the meter out to the kitchen to show my wife, she took one look at me "oh you big softie not again"

That must have been nerve-wracking waiting for that meter to show the result... of course it was going to be green!

I wasn't here for the beginning of Hendrick's story, but just looking at his SS it seems to have been quite the journey to here. Congrats Kyle, here's hoping for a really smooth OTJ trial! All that hard work and stress getting him this far is about to pay off! Very exciting!

It is so weird to not do my usual +2/3 BG test on him. I had a mental hiccup where I suddenly had that feeling like I forgot to do it, looked at the clock --- oh yeah. No mid-cycle BG testing. Whew.
