Well BLECH on today. I suspect it's Neko's patented third cycle after the low bounce. And it wasn't really low, just lower than she is used to lately. I hate seeing her in pink. It's only the 5th cycle after the increase so I'm just tapping my fingers and waiting.

Late condo today - today was cross border test strips pickup day.

I still haven't talked to the vet about the b/w results, but she left a message that the urine culture was negative. I figured it would be - it's only money.

@Bron and Sheba I get the Arkray strips (which fit the Relion meter) and they regularly cost $69.99 for 250, plus at the time there was a 10% discount from ADW. Here - the cheaper strips cost around $78 for 100 retail, though you can get them a little under $50 for 100 on Ebay, plus shipping. So yes, much cheaper, and it's not that long a drive during the week when the border line ups are decent. And DH got to go to Harbor Freight afterwards.

Wow that is a big difference and worth the trip. What do you do about money? Do businesses near the border accept US and Canadian money?
I get my strips on EBay because it is almost half the price as the chemist sells it. I pay Aus 34 dollars for 100 strips which is US 26 dollars and postage is free. I think it is my biggest ongoing expense with the FD. I usually order 5 or 1o boxes at a time.

@Bron and Sheba - I just pay by credit card on line. Some stores around the border will accept cash from the other country, but not usually at a favorable exchange rate.

That's a good find in the strips Wendy and well worth a trip out for them, I get mine from eBay and they work out about the same price as Bron pays.

Neko...as Deputy Lagoon Mistress I feel it's my duty to tell you that you're supposed to be a positive influence on the newer kitties, not drag them up there and not let them leave. Sheba says she's being held against her will!! This isn't any way for one of our "veteran kitties" to be acting!
