After all that time in the 40's yesterday, I was surprised China didn't spend more time on the trampoline! Guess her liver doesn't panic the way it used to :):):)

Had to take DM to the neurologist today (she has 2 of them...one follows her for sleep apnea and this one follows her for her alzheimers/dementia) and was hoping to get home earlier than I did, but it looks like Miss China was a good kitty and surfed safely while I was gone. Guess I'll find out tonight though!

Good that her body is adjusting to "normal"...

i've learned with dementia medications.... if they get taken away.... they lose all they have.
Hugs for dealing with that issue.... I'm dealing with it daily too and it's so very difficult.
 
Her doctor isn't talking about taking them away....we actually discussed possibly increasing the dose on one of them, but he's concerned that it might make her nauseous and she's already not eating well. She's on the highest dose of Namenda XR (28mg) and 10mg of Aricept now..he said he could increase the Aricept, but for now, with the food problems, we're going to wait

Seems like my life revolves around dose adjustments....LOL

Guess China DID surf pretty all afternoon...she's surfing nice tonight (so far) too, so no bouncing from an unseen low while I was gone! :D

I can so relate. My mom is on the same meds. She also gets mirtazapine which acts like an appetite stimulant for people as well but is given to calm her down.
 
Mom's on mirtazapine too...for the appetite stimulant properties...she's also on Zoloft (I think those are all the psychotropic drugs)

Her other meds are for HBP, heart, stomach/ulcer, cholesterol and diuretic ...plus some vitamins, iron, OTC allergy...it's quite a mix

I copped some of her ondansetron (when she was on it) for China too, Rhiannon....maybe I should share China's cypro with her....LOL
 
When I first tried Ondansetron for my kitties (I forget which ones), I used some that had been prescribed for my DH after surgery (he never used it). I guess drug swiping/sharing is common among us cat parents!

Apparently, China and Cinco spent most of the day on shore patrol together. However, Cinco didn't accompany her on her swim, I guess it was her turn to go it alone, as he did last night. Somebody has to be on shore to hit the shark siren!

Surf pretty tonight, China. Cinco will be waiting with a dry towel when you're done with your swim.
