I know I haven't been around for a while, but thought I'd drop in tonight to let you all know that Spot's numbers are not good at all. I have been searching for answers.......
Is he constipated................no, he has been doing nice poo's since his last bout of constipation
Is he in pain.......................it does not seem like he is. He is acting normal in ever sense.
Is he getting into bad stuff...no, all of the kitty crack is locked away tightly. There is no way he is getting into forbidden food.
He is eating fine....is eating all of his food at every meal and at every snack. He is not vomiting...he does not have runny poo. He is not eating bad stuff.....he is not in pain. So why is his numbers climbing and climbing??? I raised his insulin a little at a time....from .a5 to .6 to .75 He went up to 481 on .75. I don't believe he is bouncing.
The only thing I can think of is that he has become resistant to the Levemir. So tonight, for his pmps, I decided to try him on Lantus. Please keep your fingers crossed that this change will be what Mr. Spot needs.
So now I will go outside to get him....he has been laying out on his chair since after dinner and it's time to come in and get his nini test (a tad early yes, I know). Yep...he loves going outside and loves hanging out there on his chair. Wish us luck!!!!
