Welcome home Rusty! Nice blues but now it's time to get back to business.

Did he catch any rodents at camp?

Thanks for visiting, everyone. Wow, this was an exhausting day (awful weather; heavy rain). We all have more or less collapsed. Rusty saw a mousie in the cabin, but it disappeared. He was after a chipmunk outdoors, but it also disappeared. Rusty doesn't have much free rein at camp because we follow him around and make him stay close to the cabin (too many dangers there; and there are other cabins/cottages very close by, in addition to a small motel/cabins (where many guests have dogs). It's too early in the season for many people to be there, but we don't want Rusty to get into the habit of ranging about (something he doesn't even do here at home, where we have lots of outdoor space).

When we got home today there was a mother deer nursing a tiny fawn in our backyard, just at the edge of the woods. She didn't panic (the deer here know us) and she and the baby were beautiful. I took a picture with my phone, but it didn't come out very well because I must have moved. They walked slowly away into the woods in the yard next door (can't be too careful!).

Rusty didn't get carsick today and was a terrific passenger.

Ella & Rusty

I'm glad you made it back safely and Rusty didn't get carsick. Those aren't bad numbers for a travel day.

Great report, nice travel numbers, and how amazing about the Mama Deer and Fawn - that must have been a gorgeous sight!
