A few not so hot numbers yesterday, but 2 really nice cycles overall.

Rudy's still feeling good. Lots of racing and yelling with toys yesterday. He had a nail trim last night which he must've really liked because he gave me happy feet before bed. He hasn't done that in a long while. I love the old behaviors resurfacing. (Except the yelling. I'm not a fan of the yelling.)

We're off to a blue start again today. He got his dosecrease down to 2 units, so we'll see what he does...

Good luck to Rudy and you! :) its always such a great feeling when you definitely tell they are feeling better. Makes all of this so much more important.

I have some off-topic news...

As many of you know - I lost my Sphynx, Peau, on Saturday. This morning, I got a message from a friend about a Sphynx in need of a home. She's a year old and perfectly healthy. Her person is being deported. I thought about it for a few hours. And I think she's a sign from Peau...

So - tomorrow Cleo joins my herd. :)

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW, cute kitten with her painted nails/nail covers. :joyful: Are Sphynxes hard to take care of? I watched an episode of "My Cat from Hell" with a Sphynx hating her baths that are necessary because of their skin.

Thanks, everyone!! I'm thrilled to have her!! :cat:

They do require regular baths. They get a greasy film build-up. Peau would get a bath once a month. She hated them, but was tolerant.

A friend had a Sphynx for many years - she loved baths. They had to keep the bathroom door shut when they showered or they'd have to share it with Sarah.

I love Sphynx that love baths. I see videos of them from Sphynx groups on Facebook just hanging out in the tub with bubbles and toys. Peau only tolerated them.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Peau (what a cool name - is it pronoucned "pew"?). I think you are right that this new kitty coming along just now is a gift from your baby to help you heal. Some things are meant to be.

Congrats on the reducie. Work that juice, Rudy!

Thank you. It was pronounced Po. Since Sphynx are also known as Canadian Hairless - she needed a French name. Peau is French for skin.

Rudy's bouncing away. I'm not gonna stress it.

Happy tears!!! Bless your heart, Jen!

PS, I love her red nail covers. I did those with Bubba for a while until he stopped using my furniture as his scratching post. You are such a great Bean Jen!

It feels like she was sent by Peau. She needs me.

I've never had to use nail caps with my cats. Those red ones are on there with some kind of super strong glue. The vet couldn't get them off while she was under for her spay and shots today.

Congratulations! Cleo is a lucky girl, joining a lucky "herd". How could anyone resist that need and that face and those red nails?

they will drop off eventually. The ones I use on Bubba were blue and green; so pretty with his orange fur. Get lots of scratching posts to lay around if you don't all ready have them. Another thing that worked great with us was to wrap the corners of the furniture with heavy duty mailing tape. Just put a long piece all the way down the corner of the piece of furniture. They get their nails sort of stuck in it and stop. After a few months you can remove it. They remember that there is no gratification in scratching there. You can also use foil but it's so unsightly so I used the transparent package tape. Works like a charm. :cat:

I'm hoping her last person had them on her as a fashion statement and not for a scratching issue. I have a 6 foot tall cat tree in the hall and there's always a cardboard scratcher or two around. She'll have appropriate places to scratch. I'll tape the sofa if needed.

Hopefully it was just an attempt on accessorizing. :joyful:

I used that packing tape trick very successfully when my three were babies.
