Yesterday, new dose, and new dose wonkiness.

6/6 Recap:
AMPS 175 +9 210
PMPS 188 +5 159 +11 110

I don't normally get +11's in the morning, but there was a very loud kitty chorus that wouldn't let me get back to sleep without a test and treat. Looks like Neko got very close to the lagoon, maybe even touching it overnight.

It'll be another warm one here today. I've got the window/deck door open with screens, bringing in sounds and smells of outside. Neko has been very interested by the sounds of bird fight by the hummingbird feeder. Theo just about went crazy when one landed on a rose bush just outside the screen door. Back in her prime, Neko caught a couple of hummingbirds. But so gently that when she released them they were able to zoom away again.

Birds have always been Neko's favorite, but I'll be changing up her diet shortly. The chicken and turkey raw that I've been getting her are a little higher in phosphorus than I like, so today is raw fuds sample shopping day. I can always feed NV chicken/beef in the rotation with the venison/kangaroo I've always fed and are still acceptable P numbers. Mariko buys plain raw meat and adds TC Feline Premix (low phos version), so that's another option for me too.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Good luck with the food search. I can't find an acceptable one that he will eat and I can get easily.

I so love to read about the adventures of your Neko. And a big smile that she let those hummingbirds go. What a sweetheart! Hope she makes it to the lagoon today :D

Hi Wendy, I use the TC premix too with my raw food. I use the one with added chicken liver, it's good quality and Crystal loves it. Hope it works for Neko, what a sweetie she is letting the hummingbirds go free without harm.

Neko, you'd like my dog. He's a birde dog! A little too old, and a lot too arthritic to do anything about his instincts, now. But he still tries. Nothing wrong with his spirit!

Hope the new dose settles in quickly and brings a long line of nice green cycles.

You are lucky you can buy the TC FelinePremix. We can't get it out here, so I have to mix my own supplements. I could buy it from O/S but would be very expensive.
Good luck with sampling day..hope Neko likes them all.

Tiger was a little TOO interested in my birds/hummingbirds- that's why she's had to be an indoor cat only!:eek: Please keep us posted how Neko likes her new foods. I was looking into TC Feline as well, it seems they sell it in Seattle.

Well, I've had enough of bouncy castles today! :confused:o_O Our neighbourhood community association had their celebration day today (mostly kid stuff, face painting, train rides, bouncy castle), but they had a couple of good food trucks for lunch. Blistering hot, for us. We left before the pie eating contest. After that it was off to the pet fuds store, and yup, another bouncy castle.

Elise, Lori, Suki, Marilyn, Bron, Ruth, Carla - Thanks for stopping in. Today I hoped to get new fuds, but ended up with old standards which are also low phosphorus. Neko (and Theo) have had the Red Dog/Blue Kat lamb before and like it. I also picked up some Natures Variety raw, which I haven't tried since they moved to the smaller size bites. I have faith Neko will like it, Theo is the question mark. I hate giving different fuds to both of them. He can stand low P fuds too due to his cystitis. No TC/Feline for sale there. I'll talk to Mariko and see where she gets hers - I can always buy it on-line, it's made on a nearby island. I want to get the special formula that is low phosphorus. I did score some free FD treats and toys for the fur-kids today - two new nanners! :joyful::joyful::joyful: Neko approves and has already batted one of them around. :)

We have hummingbird feeders on the porch. DH fell asleep on the porch swing woke up with a hummingbird perched on his finger. Hope you can find Neko some low phosphorus
food.

Neko, friend of birds--especially hummingbirds--you are a very special girl to let those hummers go! I love to hear the sounds of the hummingbirds. Rusty is not excited by birds (being a rodent man), so we can sit outside without fear that he will try to catch one.

Sounds like a pretty successful fuds-shopping trip. I wish we could get that variety here. I'd like to try some new things on Rusty, but don't want to order a case and find he doesn't like the food. Good luck with the low Phos. diet. Would you want to try mixing cooked egg white into Neko's food?

You are having a heat wave. I think our cold weather is finally on the way out. The water line to the hydrant in our little greenhouse has thawed this week.

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty
