Morning! Moonie is OK today--DH did give the shot last night, after much ado!! His fingers are large, so it is hard to manipulate the syringe, and the bubbles nailbite_smile  ---He is trying hard & gave a successful shot last night. It may have been a drop short or so, but that's ok--He has 2 more practice sessions
I just opened new strips & set it all up for him--I am wondering if the insulin is old as it has been 38 days & that is usually when I change it--Could her higher numbers be the result of old juice??
I will still be here for next 3 cycles, so I think I will change it tonite--New pen may lower her numbers a little..That's oK , there is very little in the old pen & I think as many times as DH has to keep trying to get right dose. this old pen could run out...  He is so sweet though.. tries real hard..
A+ for effort!
DA is a drop better, so I am hoping thay by Sat. she will improve some...
Sending Hugs & Love to all my LL Family, who's support, I couldnt live without at this point!!
Thank you all for the good wishes, they are so so appreciated.
Off To TBP!!! No appts. so maybe I will come home earlier if I can--
Be Baclk Later--Love YOU! from us!

Re: 6/7 Moonie AMPS 254,+3~204,+5~176

Hope the new pen helps! I would definitely open a new one for DH. I know I go through insulin with bubbles.

((((HUGS)))) I know you are anxious about leaving Moonie, but her and DH will do great.

Re: 6/7 Moonie AMPS 254,+3~204,+5~176

Good news on DA and on DH getting the shot done! :-D :-D :-D It may be the insulin or it could have been a short shot last night. Whatever, Miss Moonie is coming down already.

Re: 6/7 Moonie AMPS 254,+3~204,+5~176

Hi Roni,

That's great news about DA and about DH! It sounds like DH did just fine. Did he test also? I could just imagine my DH with those big fingers trying to hold that tiny ear that even gets away from me and poke it! I'd think that would be harder than giving the shot.

Now don't you spend your whole trip worrying! They'll be fine. Moonie always comes right back down so don't worry about that. Your DA is probably going to be well enough to enjoy your visit also.

Have to go test Racci.

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Re: 6/7 Moonie PMPS 218

Worked all day. DH shot the cat but I picked up syringe after he was done & I think there was still insulin in it!!
He is too careful, but I'll see at +2 where she is going at that time--He is trying, but it is hard as we all know--Hope she goes down some!-BBL

Re: 6/7 Moonie PMPS 218

Hi Roni, so glad your DA is better and the training with DH is going well. Yes, he deserves an A+ for sure! When are you planning on leaving for FL? Lots of love and hugs. Moonie will be just fine.

Re: 6/7 Moonie PMPS 218

Dont forget how we all started! Clumsy as ever! Dont worry about DH caring for Monnie, they will be fine!
Have a safe trip Roni & hope your aunt gets better soon!

Re: 6/7 Moonie PMPS 218

Have a safe trip Roni. I left you a message in my condo, it just says I left you a pm with my number for your DH, but since I will be away (just overnight Sat. to Sun. I'll be home except for that), if I can be of any assistance. Glad your DA is a little better.

It was another fur shot tonite! I think he did one last night too!
I am beside myself about this!! I knew something came out of the syringe! He just doesnt listen!
Should I call the vet tech to take over sat & sun?? He just cant seem to do this--I know I did a lot of mistakes too in the beginning, but this is a critical time, I must go away! If he does 2 fur shots on sunday, God knows where her numbers will go!! I just cant trust him!!! Please advise what I should do??

Hi Roni - Good luck to DH - he is trying, and that is just wonderful. I am sure Moonie will be fine while you are gone. You have a good flight too - my best to your DA.

Hi guys,

Not to worry: it's just one shot. Moonie will be back on track in no time. I think it's a good idea to open a new pen.

It's good that your DA is improving bit by bit every day, Roni. I hope that your visit will spur her on to a good recovery.

Brad, keep at it. We all were in your shoes!!

Ni ni, and BIG HUGS,

Ella & Rusty
