How's BB doing this morning
@Robin&BB ?
Well, after dropping fast & hard like a lead boot on Sunday night, I decided to just let her go without that dinky 0.05 dose of Lantus for
both cycles yesterday, as I couldn't be certain her AMPS wasn't just a bounce. (It was 166 -
and falling a bit on re-check.) So I just let her go without for both AM & PM cycles (got 163 for PMPS -
identical to the recheck # at AMPS.) But this morning, she popped me a 185 on the human meter. Dang!

(Obviously the Lantus depot had drained.

) I waited 20 minutes,
hoping that this, too, was a falling number. Unfortunately, it was NOT: 193 on the human meter, 222 on the AlphaTrak2. That was enough to convince me that it was, indeed, time to shoot her again. The crazy thing is that neither her water-drinking nor her peeing have increased in any way, so these secondary monitoring tools that I use daily are not yet indicating any polydipsia [excessive thirst] or polyuria [excessive urine output]). As you already know, Bat-Bat is ... an exercise in frustration. (Bat, of course, remains totally unfazed by my tendency to be doing
this every few cycles:

- must be nice to be a cool

cat, eh?

I guess I should remember to ask for that as my next life: Return here to earth as a much-loved, pampered kitty.

)
P.S. Thanks for asking. And aren't you sorry now that you did?
