Hello everyone!
I wanted to share the info I came across just recently which warns caregivers about dangers of having one's cat in Lime Greens frequently or for prolonged periods of time.
THIS THREAD in the L&L Forum explains phenomenon called "hypo unawareness" - something that everyone whose cats do get into 30s or 40s often should read. As well as those who rely on clinical signs observation alone and do not test the BG.
I got somewhat relaxed about low numbers and did, on several occasions, skip a test or two based on how comfortable my cat looked in her sleep. "She is fine, I thought, no need to wake her up/ to stress. It'll wait an hour". WRONG! On several occasions she was in 40s and even 30s in her sleep. No outward symptoms.
Please read the post - the last paragraph of the OP contains link that explains Hypo Unawareness and Death in bed Syndrome from medical prospective.
Have a good day everyone!
